This morning I was practicing a routine I hadn't done in a while, using some interesting coins Rannie Raymundo sent me from the Philippines. I dropped one of the coins, whereupon it vanished completely. I never heard it hit the floor, and searching all around my chair and under the table provided no clue. It wasn't until about a half hour later that I was reminded of just how powerful (and neglected), CUFFING can be...

Good one DStachowiak! I don't need a cuff to do that and for a much longer period of time.....
Where I go, so do my coins.....

The first time that happened was back in the 70's.
Another "fooling" was when I was playing with a c/s coin (unknown to me at the time) and a muscle pass. (makes for a nice "visual" change) Others have told me they have also come up with this idea. Harris

Good stuff DS. You can do the same things sometimes if you have a plush carpet on the floor...Some of those coins I have never found again...Guess it was a complete vanish... Seriously, cuffing is a lost art but very effective when done well. Nice post.

The most often spelling error is mixing Lose vs. Loose. The first is when you Lose something, Loose is like it came loose. Sorry, that error always makes me crazy.

Twice in my life I wandered around for about 5 to 10 minutes (the first time up and down three floors of a building) looking for my half dollars. I was actually palming them.

Bill: It shouldn't....
Laurie: Thanks! I just redesigned my business cards, and this is the pic I'm using. For awhile I thought the experience of not knowing I was palming coins meant something, but then I realized I should probably just pay attention. |
