Hi guys,
Would love to hear any interesting that have not been said on the Café so far about PP. I will tell you one of mine: Performing at my regular venue and as I was doing my opening effect, saw a watch and stole it...big deal right. However as I was finding it in my pocket I was bringing the watch out, the band (metal clasp) was bent...I WAS LIKE NO!!!!!! (in my head) Then I started thinking of ways that she would not notice...then I was like, I am a iddiot she has to put in back on. Like her watch was bent and it was expensive and the last thing I need is for her to make a hige commotion to the manager about this and I would prob lose my regular venue. I was really worried...as I could forsee what would happen. However she was so shocked that I took it off, she just bent it back in place and did not say a thing. I was scared. Thought it turned out fine. JaY-JaY

I had stolen a watch from a lady that was a little older at a young hearts church event and as I revealed the watch and was handing it back to her without anyone touching it the face portion of the watch popped off and the battery along with some other parts flew out. I wasn't sure why it happened but I was real nervous I found all the parts and tried to put back together. The lady was actually pretty upset and kept asking why I broke her watch, I explained to her I'd be more than happy to pay for the watch or try to have it repaired and she kept going about how unreplacable it was, I felt horrible. Her husband pulled me to the side and explained she was older and very confused and the watch was actually a ten dollar watch from wal-mart and eventually she forgot about it, but I still gave them $20 to replace. Not something I want to relive but I guess that's the risk you take.

Hi Josh,
Yes as pickpockets, you always have to remember that if something goes wrong, you have to be ready to replace it. Great story though...any more guys reading along?

Hi guys,
I work on a regular basis in sweden .. some swedes have NO sense of humour. one guy in a thai restaurant told me he would be calling the police on me AFTER I gave his watch back.....he just couldn't get his head around the idea that I was a professional magician. on another occasion, a drugged up guy called the POLICE on me after I just mentioned I stole watches. he had me detained by nightclub bouncers until the police arrived, convinced I had taken his watch. he made all sorts of threats, saying I'm from a rich family, you are toast, I'm going to sue you, etc. etc. etc. turned out his watch was at home at his mums place and he was forced by the police to make a grovelling apology. police thought it was hilarious, but it wasnt funny for me at the time. regards, geoff.

I once stole a watch on stage only to learn that it was a rolex....only to later learn that he was a judge...
Nice guy though, totally loved it.

Another time, I stole a girls watch during my nightclub show....i put a silk in her hand for misdirection, saying it would jump from one hand to the other...
stole the watch put it in my pocket.....then I say oh it didn't work, then do a few more tricks...only trouble was, she didn't stick around for the next few tricks, thinking I was crap... tried to find her all night in the club, however had to end up handing it in to the management at the end. she never did come back to get her watch back.. sigh... regards, geoff.
