You do have a very valid point. Not everything can break down .. sometimes it's just not worth the time involved. I found that leaving the Windshear Illusion almost fully assemble saves us a good 20 minutes in set up time. Of course it takes up half the van, the rest of the show is out of a brief case.

It depends on the engineering of the construction! Both "Quicksilver" and "Walking Through Air" [very large effects] are "bolt free" and are road tested and structurally sound props. I'm probably the only builder that makes this an issue when fabricating.
