Nate Kranzo has a download teaching a routine called "Four Coins For Jimmy" named after the grip's cerator, Jimmy wilson.
Most of us are now aware of the grip from the big boys in coin magic using and teaching it. I love Nate's rotuine. It's visual, up at chest level and while the grip is not beginners coin magic, Nate's routine is not a knucklbuster. 4 Coins For Jimmyþ I'll do a detailed review in the download section. I just wanted you coin guys to see something new from Nate was out..

Nate's routine is a quick 4 coin production. The J.W. grip you'll need to be familair with. And finger palm.
He has different ways to approach a group to do this. So, you can use finger palm and go into the J.W. grip or already have the coins in the grip ( I'll have to do that ).

Thanks for the heads up Christopher. Let me know when you have the review up.
I have become fascinated (I over use this word a bit, I guess I'm fascinated with the majority of coin magic) with this grip after playing with MB's "Crimp Change" routine and would love to find more stuff to do with it. |

I had played with this grip, but I'm not the most gifted guy, so I didn't stay with it. In the rigth hands it's a thing of beauty.
Then Nate put out his rotuine and it was a quick production of four coins without allot of moves. And he gave a way to just walk up to soemone or group and produce the coins. I'm woring on it tonight. I'm a big fan of Nate's card and coin work and have found that while he has chops for long, beautiful rotuines, he also makes up routines that are quick and not that difficult.

Since you posted this, I have been searching for a performance of said routine. All I could find was the same ad that you linked to.
I would love to see a performance. |

I'll second what Christopher said about Kranzo's routine. It freakin' sweet! The second production fooled the heck out of me. I also like the "Finger Pluck Production." Nate has solved some of the problems that I've always had with JW Grip in this routine. It's well worth the small investment.

Thanks for the kind comments guys!
Nothing like getting two coin effects for $5.97 eh? Bill and Chris I'm so glad you are enjoying the routines and I hope you can benefit from the problems I've solved. All the best, Kranzo

Yes, it's a real nice production and usage of the move. What I love about Nate's stuff is that it's always quite affordable, most of it downright cheap, and it's very doable stuff. It's the kind of stuff I like and try to put forth in my own work for people (through instant downloads) to work on and enjoy.
And as remf3 mentions, I do use this move in my "Crimp Change" and it is slick and undetectable, and aids in making the magic so much more amazing as it appears in the "Blow Change" portion of the effect. Nate's usage of it also pops at you and is quite creative. It's no-frills, just instant good magic. And like my friends Chris and Bill here, I certainly recommend it. -Mb

I appreciate other folks posting about Nate's routine as they described the aspects of Nate's routine far more eloquently than I did.
Anyway, $5.97 ( Nate, did you take a marketting course on how to set price? lol ) is pretty inexpensive for a no-gaff coin production you will use. I'm not a "coin guy" per say. I love coin magic and Nate's work has always appealed to me. Because of his background in restaurants and strolling, he designs routines that work in those venues. So they are visual and fast. What we term "eye candy". Also, sign up for Nate's newsletter. You get announcements about releases before anyone else ( and they're discounted ). Nate just doesn't send "here's my new things for sale" letters. Recently he sent out a handling ( and taught it for free ) of a card through table effect. It wasn't just a "oh, that's nice" clip. There were subtle convincers and real attention to detail that make it look like you did just what you profess to have done. Also recently was a cool clip of him interviewing Daryl during a session they had. Daryl tipped his favorite card and coin trick and I was surprised by both ( DO NOT PM me asking me what they are. Sign up for Nates Newsletter and ask him. Thank you very much ). Nate writes the newsletter from a "I want to pass this on to help you improve" style. I appreciate when a worker shares and doesn't keep it all themselves ( you guys know who you are! lol ).

You might need watch the angles a little more. I tried it with silver dollars and it seems to work. The productions look great with the larger coins.

I just ordered it and his travellers effect for under 10 bucks!!! I have always wanted to learn the grip properly so this will be a great way to learn, and I am a fan of the travellers effects. Thanks for the link.

I can do it with dollars no problem. But I've got fairly large mits. It all depends on your hand size.
How does it play? Great as long as you don't flash. : ) All the best, Kranzo

I want to share a story with those not too familiar with Mr. Kranzo. I purhcased 4 for Jimmy and Instant Travellers from him and I did not receive the items for about a week. He tried sending them numerous times but nothing happened. He kept in contact with me throughout and eventually was able to get me my material. He even through in a bonus for the wait, which was something I was looking at anyway. Nathan is a great guy and it is good to see great customer service from someone who obviously cares about his customers.
I have been practicing this throughout the last week or so and I will say that is a bit hard for me to hold 4 coins in JW grip, but it is slowly coming to where I can do it. Great idea from Nathan and I am glad I purchased this download. |

Is this a "routine" or just a 4 coin production; a way to produce 4 coins from JW to be used WITH a routine to follow?
I think it's best to be clear here so people are not buying something and expecting something else. Thx

It's a FOUR coin production routine. : )
Lets not split hairs here. A production sequence can still be a routine. Frank I don't want to lead anyone on. Its obvious on the advert page that you are getting TWO production routines. The only way there could be confusion is if someone just hit BUY NOW without reading anything. What do you get? You will learn two very visual production routines. All the best, Nathan "I'm not going to get sucked into an argument about what a ROUTINE is" Kranzo : )
