We just started raising dairy goats last year and our first baby goats were born this week - twins! Three more goats are due to deliver sometime over the next 3 weeks so it is going to be an exciting time around here.
Anyone else here raise goats?

I had two one time. It was a residential neighborhood and we had a fence. I named one Monique and the other one Chock. Had to sell them. They didn't eat the grass like I heard, just everything else.

We had another birth last night - another set of twins.
Candin - Yeah, they don't eat as much grass as I would like them to. My brush problems are a thing of the past, but they are not much for grazing. I've heard that donkeys make good companion animals to a goat herd, with the bonuses that they provide protection to the herd and are good at keeping the grass down. Bob - The births last night bring the herd up to 10, with 2 more births to come. I think bringing them into your act is awesome. I would love to see your goose to goat illusion. We have some geese that I wouldn't mind turning into goats. I HATE those things.

I never knew the joy of having a goat, but my best friend in high school had one named Peewee. Freakin' awesome goat.
Trapeze above the Grand Canyon. Be impressed.
