Thanks Cameron, that's all I wanted to know. The Elmsley count I know. Thanks again...

I goggled elmsley count and since all the cards can be examined it was easy to reverse engineer everything thanks Cameron.

Uh, James, not exactly ethical. I mean, look, if you like the effect, buy it and learn it from John. I guarantee you there are finer points you did not reverse engineer.

Guys, don't rip off creators. If you like a trick, buy it. Even if you do know how it's done. People who create magic don't get rich off this stuff (or at least, very few do). They need your support if you want them to keep releasing great magic.

I ordered 3 of them. One for a magician friend of mine, who does not have it yet and another for a magic shop owner here locally that just does not pay a whole lot of attention to new stuff coming out. I am sure he will appreciate it.. and I got one for myself, can't wait to get it!

After watching this, the thing that hits me most and most likely is the AS vanishing in their hand so whether or not it is better than the RS, who knows?
Additionally, it is less TWISTING, but I am only going to gather there is more to it than the EC!
It is nice to see real world demos like JB and CF so we know exactly what the spectator will see and they will NOT be able to back track this one.

Plus, this effect is no nicely packaged (especially if you have all three), such a strong concept, and SO CHEAP ($15) that it's worth buying it twice..........

I thought this was the worst part, that does nothing for the effect but add an extra card, which clutters the effect.

I meant what will hit the spectator hard.
We all know how it is done, but they do not!

Sorry, James1a. Sometimes irony is a little hard to get around here. Especially since a lot of people are serious when they post stuff like that. Smile

Just picked this up at Hocus Pocus yesterday and even after one quick viewing I can see it becoming a favorite of mine! I now have all 3 of the Fractal's and along with the quickie bonus trick he adds, I feel it's well worth the money spent! I usually like to give a new trick several days practice before showing it but I may speed up the process some as I have a Xmas party to attend tomorrow!

Robert,
I agree, Liz is sumthin! I had a secretary for several years that could have been her twin!

I debuted this last night at my restaurant gig. Wow! What great killer reactions. Most were regulars and have seen me do several versions of twisting, but nothing like this. This is definitely a keeper on the A list. Gets my vote for trick of the year.

I dropped using the blank face card and replaced it with a different card. If you have the effect, you will know what I mean.

Now, for the 'second interesting thing', I vanish the ace of spades using the invisible palm. For me, it made the effect stronger as the invisible palm is a gasp getter in its own right and it made more sense.

Of course, now it's no longer a packet trick and no longer deckless as I use the deck to vanish the card.

I ordered direct from John Bannon and he shipped it immediately.

Mr. Bannon has a winner here. IMO, it's the strongest of the Fractal series.

Christopher, I agree with it (and all 3 Fractals) being a winner.
Just curious as to why you feel that Spin Doctor plays stronger than the Royal Scam.

Cheers, Wes

Spin Doctor is very good BUT Royal Scam with the right patter is a modern masterpiece.
