Hi Guys:

I've finally got around to posting my old manipulation act on YouTube. You can see it at:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TthZn73C5ao

I did this act professionally from about 1982 till about 1991 and I teach all of the tricks on my manipulation lecture DVD.

Previously I've posted this video clip as a quicktime movie on my LeventMagic.com website. But the file was VERY big, so I've now posted it on YouTube so people can easily watch it as a streaming video.

Best regards,
Levent

Wow Levent, you covered all 4 corners in your act. The music was good. I like how you stayed on beat while performing quick and smooth. You are one of the few I've seen perform so many different type of tricks in one act with a smooth manner. That was slick how you made your lapel flower disappear without anyone relising it. The return of it was clever and astonishing.

I just got finished purchasing your manipulation act DVD from http://leventmagic.com/

Levent,

You are such an excellent manipulation artist. Not only are you manipulation skills top-notch, you're routineing, surprises and connection with the audience are awesome.

I have been doing the long pour salt routine for 20+ years, and loved your teaching DVD on the Salt Pour.

I look forward to getting your Miser's Dream & Manipulation Act DVDs. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with the greater magic community. What gold!

Warm regards & appreciation,
Lou Leventhal

Yes, I just had stumbled upon your competition at the IBM in New Orleans. So there is hope for competition acts to make a living in this busy. Though sometimes we have to redirect a bit.

Yes, I not forgotten I owe you a dvd yet.

Hi Paul, I have both your dvd's and they are simply amazing in content, time taken and the way you have done it in a conversational style.

I really hope top get time to have a chat with you at Eastbourne in September - though I reckon I will have to stand in line!

Regards,
Dave

Mike:

I'm glad you liked the way I used the music. If you ask me, finding a good tune, is a big part of making a silent act commercial. The flower routine was sort of the trademark of my silent act. I think it is important to have at least one little thing that makes an act different. Also, I always like to do a mixture of different tricks in all my show. Even in my current (one hour long) comedy show, most of my routines run about 3 or 4 minutes each. The sole exceptions being the two audience participation tricks which run about 6 minutes each.

Lou:

I am very happy to reveal the secrets of my old act, especially since I retired it 17 years ago. At least by releasing this DVD, others will have a chance to learn from my magic.

Kyle:

Thanks!!

Richard:

You don't have to go through the trouble of making a DVD, a VHS tape would be fine

Dave:

Thanks for your kind comments. I look forward to meeting you at the British Ring Convention this year.

I am however puzzled by the fact that you have called me Paul? My real first name is actually Levent.

Best Regards to All,

Levent

Excellent magic clip, Levent. The act looks interesting and entertaining. I never got bored a second while watching the clip. Even though it's from the 90th, that how magic should look like. That's my point of view.

I might just have one question. In the repeat coins to silk part you use jumbo coins, but not regular ones you can find today. What is their size (diameter) and wherer did you get them ?

Thanks for your help and keep the good magic going.

Oliver.

Oliver,

Those coins are 3 inches in diameter. They are the same size as "standard" jumbo coins, but they are made of plastic. I bought them in a magic shop in the 1980s and at the time they cost about 5 coins for a dollar.

I received it yesterday. It is well worth it. He not only perform an excellent act. He teaches it good on the DVD. I like all his creative ideas. He even shows other methods to performing different effects that are not seen on the video, some are his older methods he use to perform and some other methods he explains from other performers.

I had no idea he made the ball vanish the way he did. That was clever.

I was thinking about adding Manipulation Bills to my act the way he explains on using the card manipulation.

I hope he brings out a dove manipulation act next on DVD. Because he does explain how he use to use a dove at certain parts of his act.

To those who are professional and thinking about high lighting your act, Levent's DVD is the way to go.
To those who are semi professional or amatuer, Levent's DVD will bring you thru those doors.

My advise to those who purchase the DVD is to use Manipulation Cards for the card routines Levent teaches. Manipulation Cards are easier and less noticable.

On a scale from 1 - 10...I'll give Levent's Manipulation Act DVD an 11.

Hi Levent, can you please PM me a list of props that are needed in your manipulative act DVD? So that I can order from other magic dealer about the props and order the DVD from you at the same time!

Kenny, Levent is a busy person. He will have little time to PM the info. It would be best for you to just order the DVD online. That way you will see what he uses by him explaining everything on the DVD. Good luck.
