To whom it might concern.
I'm looking for card tricks using 13 card numerical ordered stack (A through K). So far, I know "Play It Straight Triumph by John Bannon" and "Lazy Man's Card Trick by Al Koran". Doesn't anyone know other tricks using the 13 card stack, if any? Thank you much. Highest Regards, @Jay@ |

Entropy II uses a 13 card stack but not in numerical order. It's in the book Kingdom of the Red. Both versions (I and II) are terrific effects.

While not really another trick, Eddie Fields has a handling for Lazy Man's Card trick that alters the effect quite nicely. Its in The Greater Artful Dodges of Eddie Fields under the O.O.P.S Principle

You transport 3 cards from a packet of 10 to another packet of 10, giving then 2nd hand 13. You could work in the numerical part.

If you can add a couple of faro's in with that 13 card stack, you will have some killer effects.

Sam Schwartz's Thot Echo in Card College Light
Although not in exact in order but also in Card College Light is Muscle Reading. There was also a routine using the King thru Ace in a card stab routine in one of the old Ray Mertz books from Fecthers but I can not remember the name. |

If you like Play It Straight Triumph by John Bannon, then check Josh Jay's work on it, his trick Triumphed Triumph ( I'm pretty sure that's it, I believe its in his Close Up Up Close DVD vol.3) is extremely good. You shuffle ups and downs, show all cards facing the same way except the selection, take it out, snap again and show all cards facing the same way except the same suit ( the other 12 cards )

Combine "Lazy Man's Trick" with the one were someone over the phone tells the name off the card, instead saying the position of the card, that's a miracle.

I had an effect published in one of the early Channel One Issues called "Short Stack" that uses an Ace through King stack.

I believe Diamond cut Diamond also uses a 13 card stack.
