I am in need of information in finding the smallest rabbit available for my act. I currently have a Polish Rabbit and she has been with me for years. My problem with her is that she is 4-5 pounds and does not fit comfortably in any of the usual props used for a rabbit production. I have always used Barry Mitchell's Presto Pet Production in all the years that I have produced a rabbit in my show. It seemed to be the best prop suited for a rabbit the size of mine. She is too big to fit comfortably in a Duck Bucket, Parker Swan Doll House, or any of the other larger props. I really need to change the way that I produce her as I have run out of ways of disguising the Presto Production and it is becoming quite obvious in my repeat engagements. I always produce her at the end of the show and then allow the kids to come up and visit with her.

So, my mission is to find the smallest rabbit available to use in my show. One that I can use with some of the other props mentioned above. I would like to have one that remains small. My Polish Rabbit, which is a dwarf breed, worked fine in the beginning, when she was young, but than out grew most of the props. I insist that she remain comfortable through out the act.

I would appreciate any information and help anyone can give me in finding the right small rabbit in my act.

Thanks!
Wally

I have a dutch rabbit and they usually don't get very big. I also have used netherland dwarf rabbits and they are very small! Depending on the venue they could be too small to see on stage. My Dutch Rabbit fits well in 3d tv production, doves to rabbit, etc. Hope that helps! My dutch rabbit is the one I am holding in the picture.

I believe dwarf rabbits are the smallest.

Netherland Dwarfs are the smallest I know of. A fully grown, pure-bred Netherland Dwarf bunny usually weighs between 2 and 3 pounds.

Caution: "Dwarf" rabbits are not always small. I agree, netherland dwarfs are the smallest I've ever come across. There is one sitting on my shoulder!
