Thanks Entity. I see it as a win-win situation for me. Even if I get rejected, the worst case scenario is that I get valuable feedback. The best case scenario is that I get an effect published. I don’t see the downside. I think of stuff all the time but I’m just not the sort to market it.

I know he must want to take my cards and my notepad and throw them against the wall. He’s a good guy though. Holly

Glad to see you getting in the spirit of things, Holly. No wonder Stewart James was a lifelong batchelor, eh? (The Canadian in me coming out.)

I have two Open Prediction routines that have been previously published, and those will be in the Card effects e-book that will be available in a few days, with some new work on one of the routines.
For the Open Prediction compilation book I'm going to add a routine that has never been published before. It's not my ultimate routine, A Dianoetic Rage (which will never be published), but it's a good one. - entity

Do the submissions have to be the Curry/James version with dealing and such. For example can it be any clean effect where you show an open prediction and the spectator matches it?(such as Joel Givens untaught Quadruple Open Prediction from Session the magic of Joel Givens)

You can submit any variation you'd like, so long as it's your own.

Mr. Brooks seems to not be answering my request for an ad, but the card effect e-book is ready and waiting. (NOT the Open Prediction one... still waiting for submissions. The card effect e-book is my own project.)
While I'm waiting for the ad to go up, those interested can pm me for a link to the promo page, etc. Cheers, - entity

Hey...
I will post a review up at a later time, but just thought I'd post in this thread about entity's new card manuscript 'NOT a Dianoetic Rage'. I would have posted something sooner, but this is a very indepth manuscript coming in at a whopping 120 pages, which is pretty hefty as far as pdf's go. Inside you'll find a collection of card effects/routines and sleights/moves, all covered thoroughly, with pictures to help along for those who like a visual aid. I'll save the full listing of what exactly is inside for the review, but a few of my favourites are the Action and Spread Control cop, 'Wide Opener' which though requiring something extra, is a stunning little piece, 'Pick Off Pip' variation 2... I never thought I would consider something like this a favorite but it's so simple and direct, and I have other ideas about how I'm going to be presenting it, 'Delusional' which is a sort of think of a card transposition, and 'Unambiguous Mental Discernment' which for those who missed out, is entity's spread force from his 'a card merely thought of' which is the best version I know of. I would say that if you llike to dabble in cards, then this is pretty much a must have, though I doubt there are many here who like to do card effects as magic, but instead as mental pieces... of which a good number of these could easily be adjusted and turned into something of that nature, such as the 2 open predictions. The sleights/moves covered are things which I feel will benefit all... be it a card worker or someone who wouldn't touch them, as they can be applied to business cards and photographs etc if that's more your style. Also if you missed out on 'a card merely thought of' then here's your chance to learn what I have found to be one of the most useful and effective 'think of a card' moves. Everything is fully covered, with every single component to each effect taught in detail, with very well written explanations. I'd happily recommend it. |

Thanks, Y2John.
I'm still waiting for Mr. Brooks to get back to me re: an ad for the forum. Those who already have the e-book seem to be responding very positively. Thank you all for your pm's and emails. - entity
