Hello.
Can some people recommend some routines or effects that use food? I know ti sounds weird but I am working with a theme here. For example mmc bloom, Or the bowling ball from briefcase but with a turkey, or any other effects featuring fod or that can be changed to include food.
Thanks,

Mr. Mysto does a FANTASTIC visual vanish of a bowl full of eggs. Someone had told a story about vanishing a serving of mashed potatoes in a topit, (I think it was Ammar.) Scotty York's Candy Kiss Machine, Kiss Off, 3 ball trick with nuts or candy, Williamson's salt vanish, (that's ingenious) Bill to Lemon, Kostya Kimlat's nut trick, Dan Harlan has a great production of a bunch of candy bars. There are hundreds if not thousands of tricks that use food. You are limited only by your imagination.

The chinese popcorn trick. You have a little wicker scoop and fill it with unpopped corn and it changes to popped corn. This had me fooled for over 20 years and until I found one had no clue.

Thank you so much the pop card is really a good find. And I have seen a magician do the chinese popcorn trick and that's exactly going to fit into a missing part of the routine I have been trying to work on. I am not sure why but I tend to be very forgetful and when I get a little hint or clue it all comes back to me.
Thanks very much I am appreciative, Chris

Pulling food out of Square Circle. Having real animals appear inside of a blammo box. Juice coming from Lota Bowl. Milk Pitcher. The 10 foot Appearing Straw. Using coin manipulation to make crackers appear.
Posted: Jun 21, 2008 9:46am Walk on stage carying a tray (bottom facing audience). Cover up the tray quickly with a large fabric (turning the tray face up at the moment). Remove the fabric showing a bowl of food. Of course the glue food objects and bowl will have to be light, fake and hollow. |

Abbott's used to offer a production of oranges (or other fruit) from an empty bowl. Seems like it might have been called "Spectacular Orange Production", or something of that nature. Last I remember, it was around $30.00, but it may or may not be currently available. Was pretty neat and Blackstone Jr. featured it.

That is a classic the tray idea. I have a question now which I was thinking about. When I bought my milk pitcher Many years ago the magic shop had something called miracle milk where you used a few drops and it looked like milk but wasn't real. As to using a lota bowl or props along these lines if I were to use juice in them from wheat I understand I wouldn't be able to clean it that well and it might get a sour juice smell after a few days. What is the best way to clean the interior of these type of props if I do not use water?
Thanks, Chris

Consider....Vanishing Bandana (Banana), Pizza Palace, Bill In Lemon, Orange, etc.Use artificial fruit - some of it looks very realistic. If you have a Hobby Lobby or Michael's in your area check out their selection. Some of the items can be modified to fit your ideas. eg...5-1 rising Wand - use a carrot stick (artificial of course) - good luck!
