Once a children's entertainer steps in front of the kids, he or she assumes a moral responsibility, just like any teacher, or parent. Is it responsible to show amputation effects to children ? Not in my opinion, but that's just me.
To each his own, I guess. Mark Pettey Naples, FL

Seems like this topic comes up about once a month or so...
No "sharpies" of any kind in my show. Don't need them anyway! Tony's absolutely right. Same goes for my area. Use anything with knives, swords, flaming torches..anything someone could get hurt with or symbolized such, well, word will travel fast. Schools are of the same mindset here as in the UK, at least on this topic. Besides, why on earth would I want to put that imagery into a child's head? Don't we have enough violence in the world without adding more to it? My take. I checked out the product links, Michael. Even if it's not "normal" in appearance, everyone watching knows what "could" happen. It's that age-old "danger" thing. There are ways to do this without intoning amputation or the partial severing of heads. C |

We also make lots of jokes to "at least you see it coming, unlike America" for this referring to your unparalleled violence and lack of intellect in USA. Of course I joke. Only a fool would use these in children's shows, even if parents say "ok", you must wonder if parents are less educated. Or for that matter, the magician! Louis |
