Can someone give me a resource in which I can find information on Silk Blendo effects? I have a gimmick blendo silk, but it came with no instructions. I got it at an auction.
I have been having trouble with the setup and handling. It's a 36 inch sunburst silk.

Thanks,
Ed.

Rice's Encyclopedia of Silk Magic, Volume 3 has an entire chapter on Blendo effects. Probably the most comprehensive treatise there is.

Hi Ed:

Steven is right. Go to Rice's Volume three. In the Blendo chapter, Rice gives you detailed workings on the standard blendo. He shows you how to set it up, and how to perform it.

One of the Tarbell books has good info on building and performing this effect. As I recall, it has a name tied in to a flag— Perfection Flag trick or something similar.

Pavel markets a Blendo effect that is awesome. He might explain the Blendo in one of his books or videos. (Not sure).

If you are still having trouble with this, PM me with your question and I will see if I can help. I have done the effect in the past and have a number of books with info on it.

It surprises me that magicians don't make greater use of this great effect. The "bought" ones are fine, but it is so easy to make your own final production silks with Sharpie Pens. Valentines offers a great opportunity to surprise someone special with a message she will keep!

February 14th is not that far away. Scheme!
