I like the vanishing banana eventhough it's a little too messy for my taste! ick!

Great trick. Very easy and entertaining because there is sound and music. I agree that it is very messy and thus not repeatable.
Another great idea is to teach the trick to the CEO or birtday kid before the show (preferably a day or two in advance) so that you can have them perform it at the show. It's much more believable than having the magician pretend to have just received the trick in the mail and I've found that the response is amazing because no one in the crowd expects the person to be able to do the trick. Much much more believable. |

It's awful..horrible, nobody likes it, and I use it all the time, so don't buy one.

I heard Copperfield used it in one of his shows.

It plays beautifully, it gets huge laughs from the audience, it is easy to do which means you can concentrate on presentation. Another reason I like it is it gives me an opportunity to do a little bit of pantomime a la Red Skelton. Did DC really do it on one of his specials? It seemed to me it would be the kind of thing he'd include in his show. Have a great day! Joe L.

To avoid the mess with this trick, put a ziplock sandwhich bag in the P----t, Then when you finish, you take out the bag and toss it mess and all, then just stick another bag in and you are ready to go.

Good idea. How do you fasten the plastic bag in?
I guess you could use double sided tape. Another bonus is, if the banana isn't too badly mangled, you can have a snack between shows. Mmmmmmm, potassium! Joe L.

I think my good friend Jim Tighe also uses the plastic bag. No need to fasten it in. Maybe a little tape, but it should stay put by itself. The bananna is completely mangled at the end.
I quit using it because of the mess, but i might put it back with the plastic bag. Glad some of you liked my "spectator does the magic idea." While you are revealing hte secret to one person, I think the end result is more than worth it, especially given how seldom the secret is actually used in today's magic. It's a great trick to make the CEO look great. Try it. I think you will like it. |

Yes, you are revealing the secret, but the CEO will never tell. I can imagine the reaction that presentation must get.
