Just so everybody knows this convention is dedicated in the memory of Phil Leighton, He was battling Parkinson disease for many years. He was a member of our assembly and the other local magic clubs. He will truely be missed especially his quick wit. He passed away a few days ago.
And what a better place to have a convention dedicated to Phil than Kutztown where he was a professor at.

Thanks for the memories and teaching me so much Phil , you will be missed.

Sorry to hear that Phil was a nice guy and I was lucky to talk to him a few times about magic.
Rest in Peace Phil.

He always was so lively and he talked to me on many occasion with great interest. I learned a lot from him and he had a love for the magical arts. He was at so many conventions over the years. Rest in peace indeed. Do you know if anyone is doing any type of broken wand ceremony for him? Just curious.

David Reagal, in association with the Kutztown Convention, will lecture on Sunday @ 1:00 in the Mingus Magic Shop, Reading, PA. If you go to the Kutztown Convention you can go to the lecture for $15, if you can't make K-Town but want to see the lecture it will cost $30.

I got word today Al went in for bypass surgery. He was going to be at the Kutztown Convention this Saturday but will not make it due to the surgery.

I wish him well and my thoughts and prayers are with him and family.

Al wanted everyone to know, and to the people who were planning on seeing him at the convention that he hopes to see you all soon.

Todd and K-town gang. Have a great convention, wish I could be there. So sorry to hear about Phil. I always enjoyed him at the SAM meetings in the Flame room in Reading and at the IBM meetings in Allentown.

I wish I could be there. Thank God I finally got a job,After being out of work for 3 months. A miracle in this economy.I have to fly out on Saturday.

Pepka and others: I have talked with Todd and others and I will be professionally photographing the entire event. Of course with exceptions of certain performers or performances that I may not be allowed to photograph. I will have my camera and lenses with me tomorrow and be shooting stuff through out the day. I can certainly put some of the best photos on a CD so we can send to him. That would not be a problem at all. I can also do a group photo shot as well if someone wants to arrange that. That also should not be a problem. Looking forward to seeing you guys tomorrow. Looks for the goofy guy with the camera and the cute wife. lol
