Was the photo of the well-made table from snap illusion's website or somewhere else? If they pictured the well-made one and then sent you something completely different, then you ought to be allowed to return the item for a full refund. You didn't receive the item that was advertised. But if they didn't show a picture and you simply assumed it would like the one you saw pictured elsewhere, then I'm not sure if you have any recourse.

Just a little correction (for historical purposes) it was not Benny Hill who inspired the 'slo-mo' bit, it was actually Tommy Cooper who created the vanishing silk and slo-mo explanation - see:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8zP3-gnMww So to sum it up : David got the combo of the Duck Bucket and Take Apart Vanish and some of the gags from Bill Smith. He was inspired to do a Slo-Motion Routine after seeing Tommy Cooper. The use of "Chariots of Fire" music for this was inspired by Jeff Justice. And the combination of all these elements (and adding the puppet) into this brillant routine is David Copperfield's and so far he has given nobody permission to use this. |

There are two parts to the illusion you want to perform. The box to vanish the duck and the table to put the pieces on once you have taken the box apart. The second part is the bucket to make the duck reappear in. It sounds like you only got the first part of the illusion. Did you pay for just the vanish or both the vanish and the bucket? If you only paid for the vanish, You are ahead of the game. Their bucket does not look all that well made. I would sell the prop you have and start over with another builder. Just my opinion.

Hi all,
This http://www.taiwanben.com/images/SnapLiiusion/myorder.jpg is a custom prop I built for Darcy Oake. I have built a few since with some revisions and streamlines. Both the vanish and bucket are sold separately. Please PM me if interested. The new combo version is priced well under $3500. Thanks, Cliff Wiggs PROline Magic |

Hi Cliff,
but your website says that you do not take new orders until you have re-organized and will be back online in May. Which May ? 2009 ? Richard |

Just get one from FAIRCHILD ENTERTAINMENT (www.fairchildmagic.com), Mamoth livestock vanish.
I'm very impressed by the craftmanship. Very solid and nicely made prop, and nice person to work with. It's my fist order to Fairchild and probably not the last ! Arno |

Hi ARNO from Roanne this is Stephane Arnow from Clermont ferrand lol
I bought recently the version buit by David Robinson. I wait the prop. It seems to be a very good unit. I hesitated with the Fairchild model, but I got the opportunities to have the Robinson model for a bit less. Funny to speek with you in english here ! a bientot Stephane |

I have a question about the slow motion routine... Copperfields duck, and the Tommy Wonder silk routine, I have seen both. As mentioned not a good idea to copy either routines. So can you create your own routine or trick not using a duck or silk, and add the slow motion part to it, or as that against the rules?

I have Cliff's version and it is a awesome piece. Everything Cliff makes is top of the line. It is a killer effect. I though do not do my routine in slow motion.........
Take care Bryan |
