I would like to know the pro's and con's of this trick. Is the gimmick durable? would it be easy to fix if damaged? is it noisy? etc and do you recommend it. Here's a link with the description.

I've used this as a closer for my parlour/stand up show for the last 6 years or so. Method is VERY practical, and always reliable - you've got total control over the ring throughout. Gimmick shows no signs of wear & tear after all this time - but if it did break it would be very easy to fix. Price is great when compared to other ring flights that are out there.
Have a look at Michael Close's routine - Ring Fright - for a well thought out and amazing routine. Hope this helps Paul |

Please note that you can not do this with any ring. Larger rings like graduation rings will not work. It is best used with a small ladies ring. I have it and think it is the most creative ring flight currently on the market.

Any chance of damaging the ring? loosening the stone? anything.....i've heard good things from others....thanks for letting me know about the "larger rings", any other pro's and con's?

It's a great effect. I use it all the time. The only downside is it won't work well with a large man's ring. The routine supplied in the original version was terrible. I have not seen the routine supplied for the updated version. The gimmick is great and should not wear out.

Great routine, clever thinking, but a misnomer since there's no 'flite' mechanism. Used this for a while but didn't like the fact that many rings wouldn't fit the gimmick. I remember always looking at the target ring on the spec's finger before I started and wondering if it was too large. Sometimes I'd guess wrong - boy was that awkward when the ring didn't fit in the gimmick (cold sweats!)
Personally, still prefer the old fashioned pulls/reels as the vanish is so clean - plus its a 'pull' you can use no matter what you're wearing; you don't need a coat - or in my case a cape Chris |

A Cape. Sweet. I would love to have a cape.
I've played with the Gaeton Bloom's "Flying Ring" and I thinks it's a great piece but I also prefer the reel. |

It is the only version of ring flight I do now. My old method sits on the shelf, I will never go back to it after using Gaeton's

Excellent method for Ring Flight. Gaeton Bloom is a creative force in magic. Check out his Planet of Bloom 3 DVD set, oldie but a goodie.
