Yes, Al has published some manuscripts and booklets including:

"Al Schneider On Coins"
"Al Schneider's Matrix"

as well as a booklet on his thoughts and handling of the "Zombie."

You can also find a WONDERFUL and FREE treatise on magic theory (as well as some complete video cuts of him performing his
"Matrix", "Cross Cards", etc.) on his website:

HIGHLY recommended reading.

Another book is "Al Schneider on Close-Up." I'm lucky enough to have signed copy and yes, I agree with Geoff - highly recommended.

Card Guy,

I agree wholeheartedly with the Schneider recommendations. The rub is that most - if not all - of his material is out of print.

I would recommend you keep an eye on second hand book dealers like H & R Magicbooks.

Leigh,

Is there any chance of having you post an outline of the contents of "Al Schneider on Close-Up"?

Below is the table of contents from the
"Schneider on Close-Up" book. He starts off by giving his thoughts on performance in Chapter One.

Chapter Two contains some basic handling of coins and a ball (not at the same time, you understand!). There's nothing new here, nothing you won't have in any other sleight book. The Toss Change is Schneider's variation on the Bobo Switch.

Schneider admits to being a BIG Spellbound fan, hence Chapter Three. He teaches routines containing Spellbound moves, as he doesn't care for the traditional Spellbound trick of "Here's a copper, now a silver, copper, silver, copper..."

Chapter Four are coin routines including a copper/silver routine.

The remaining chapters speak for themselves, I think.

The book is filled with photographs showing how to hold the hand, coin, etc. Better than line drawings, I feel.

Some of the routines can be seen on Al Schneider's web site that Geoff mentioned above. I hope this helps. Let me know if you want to know more.
