Hey I was wondering if anyone could teach me a simple rubber band trick. I think one is called crazy man's handcuffs. I could be and probably am wrong about that, but I just want a simple trick I can do.

Dan Harlan would be your best bet for teaching the crazy cuffs. And just a little pointer, like all good tricks it's about practice, not ease.

I believe you can find that effect in Michael Ammar's Book of Magic.

Micheal Ammar also has a booklet on just that effect. I think it's only about $5.

If you would like to learn not only Crazy Man's Handcuffs, but other rubberband tricks, please go along with Dan Harlan's video series. I hope you could find some favorite tricks in his tapes.

Crazy Man's Handcuffs takes a little work.
If you are just looking for a "simple rubber and trick" then take a look at The Jumping Rubberband here:[outdated link]

Hope this helps.

Agreed, Frank.

CMH is not an easy trick ... like most magic, it may look easy, but training your hands to do the sleight takes some practice.

The practice is well worth it though, as CMH is a killer impromptu trick ... even Copperfield used it.

I am using "jumping rubberbands" as a routine now.. I even make my own ending with a homemade sleight. Smile

I've learned a new rubber band effect recently. It's pretty cool and simple to do. You may be interested in it. Here's the link: http://www.members.aol.com/jeffpiercemagic/magic.html
