No matter how many times I watch it, I smile, and get a special feeling that I'm seeing an original, performing genius.

It's during his coins through the table routine. He puts 3 coins in one hand, three in the other. " Ah six-a coins, ah 3 and 3. Ah here they are agin. Watch...."!

He makes a "fishy" move by bringing his hands together and continues with the routine.

"Now, I'm a gonna pass a them a through a the table, but first I'm a gonna look a for the week a spot".

And then the brilliance..He becomes annoyed, like the thief that gets caught, and gets mad at the person that caught him.

He becomes flustered and acusatory to the spectator "See the way you a look? I can a tell by your face......."

He then shows nothing has changed, the 3 coins are still in each hand. It creates a relaxed moment for the audience so that he can....do the work.

For me, it is the finest moment in magic and shows why he was a genius. It's not just 'patter' but a calculated, psychological ploy.

The tribute to Slydini "As I recall" DVD set by Kozmo Magic is a must have for any student of magic. http://www.kozmomagic.com

Slydini was definitely the "Master". First time I saw him live I was in total awe, I could not believe what I was seeing. Loved his cigarette & coins. Caught him one time in a magic shop and he did a typical Slydini routine with the Color Vision Box, the colored block vanished.

The effect is the important thing, how you achieve it is not.......
