Hi guys,
I would like to know if DB is using the same fake coin that is provided with the Raven, if he switches a real one to the fake one (impossible to see on the video), or if he is using a real looking coin which works with the Raven??? Thanks! Franfran

Franfran,
This is the coin used by David Blaine ... it works very well with the Raven, I own it myself. http://www.penguinmagic.com/ MagiCat |

Thanks it looks great, but do you know if I could get a steel coin in Euro?

Some Euro coins are already suitable for Raven. Take your Euros and wave your raven on top of them. If I remember correctly the best ones are €1 and €2 coins.

Hey you can get custom work on coins made at http://www.roykueppers.com I'm pretty sure he ships internationally. Send him an email to get some details. His work is good. Hope this helps.

Blaine did switch the real quarter for the shell unless there's some other way he made it magnetic or something like that...

he used a steel-cored quarter, not a shim-shell

Is it normal that I have to run my hands really low in order to perform Raven?

STOP EVERYBODY!!!!! Nobody go and spend all that money on a steel core quarter. It's ridiculous. Experiment with all sorts of foreign coins. (Here's the secret though.) Use a Canadian coin similar in size to a quarter, but a little smaller (big coins make louder clunks as they hit the raven.) I've found that just by placing the coin on the spectator’s hand and vanishing it, 90% of the time they say "hey, how'd you make that QUARTER disappear. That's right, if you don't call attention to the fact that this is a Canadian coin, most people don't consider anything other than the fact you have placed a quarter on their hand.
