Pangea's World of Weird radio show, heard weekly on BlogTalkRadio, is known for presenting very bizarre guests and topics, however, last night's audience certainly did not expect a first-hand encounter with psychic phenomena. Advance promotion of the show attracted a record number of listeners from across the country that are still asking, "Was it real? Was it an illusion?" They're talking about Professor Slim King, a mentalist, who in a single hour left everyone absolutely mesmerized.
The show's host, Scott Marlowe, is no stranger to the unusual, but when he received a mysterious Hoodoo box in advance of the show, he did not know what to expect. He was instructed not to open the box until last night's show. The Professor compared the box to the cigar box used by the Hoodoo character in the movie, Henry Blackhart is Dead. When Marlowe opened the box on the air, it was found to contain various objects, ranging from Tarot cards to coins to a voodoo doll. It was from these items that Professor King did his bizarre work, live on the air. But, the Professor was not in the studio, he was miles away doing the show by telephone! Marlowe was the only one with the box, co-hosts, Ed Craft, former producer of Magick Mind Radio, was doing his part by phone from the Florida Keys, and co-host, Charlie Carlson was talking via phone from near Daytona Beach. Yet, the Professor accurately predicted what objects Scott would select from the mysterious box. This was how the show opened and from that point Professor Slim King, using his uncanny ESP abilities, proceeded to freak out not only hundreds of listeners but everyone on the show.
"This is crazy, how'd he do that," wrote one girl in the show's chat room, after the Professor conjured up a number that was correctly derived from Marlowe's roll of a set of dice. "He reminds me of the Amazing Kreskin," remarked Charlie Carlson, Florida's Master of the Weird, referring to a popular television mentalist of the 1970s. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kreskin
While last night's audience is still reeling, or hung-over from a mesmerizing show, others are disappointed to have missed the uncanny live exhibition. "Fear not, you can download the show from the archives," according to Scott Marlowe, referring to Pangea Institute's website.
But Charlie Carlson has a better idea, why not tune in tonight at 10 P.M. EST, when Professor Slim King will be on Shadows in the Dark, a fast growing talk show also heard over BlogTalkRadio.
