Hey guys,
I was browsing the http://www.magicims.com website. Would you recommend the "Great Effects of Magic - 10 Volume DVD set" and the "Magic Academy Disk 10 (volumes 46-50: Grand Illusions 1,2,3,4, & 5 by Tony Hassini) DVDs? Can someone who owns these please list a few of the type of illusions explained. Thanks!! J.C. |

I own the set you are looking at.
Depending on what kind of information you are looking to get out of them I didn't find them very valuable. They teach nothing about presentation. They show dimensions for illusions that are authorized only by a couple of builders, and suggest you construct your own. I found them to be nothing more than exposure, and coming from a society on magic a total disappointment. My rating is a solid "F".

Well I was looking to buy these for ideas.
It sounds to me like the type of illusions demonstarted are old principles that the masked magician would expose. Im guessing they are in the same format as the Rand Woodbury videos. Thank you for your honest opinion. |
