I'd be interested in the old wooden looking Die, as I tell the story of my Grandfather who was a carpenter and a gambler and I can say he made the die and passed it down to me...and do the routine.
People ask how I got started in magic, I tell the this story.
I say I went to my grandpaw's house every weekend one summer. He would put the die in the box, if I got it right, I got $5, if I got it wrong, I cut the grass. Oh Boy, I cut a lot of grass that summer. Before he passed on, he gave me the die and told me how I could always get it right. Body language. He made a lot of money in poker reading people. So I can read someone and tell them what number they put in the box!

Yes, an old wooden looking die would fit my routine perfect!

Sounds nice but it would seem to me that would indeed take a bit of work.
Wouldn't an old worn die have to have rounded seamless edges and corners to be convincing? If Craig could pull that off he would have to be more of a genius than he already has proven himself to be!

Max,
I bought the Deluxe set last August, but never got the ebook.

Was that MD ebook given with it right from the start?

Hello Everyone,

Thank you very much for your continued comments and great ideas.

RIVARDJLR,
I think you could use this in a one-ahead type of routine. I'm thinking Larry Becker Casino Royal.

DrTodd, thanks for your comments and I'm glad you are enjoying the product. I have several emails from people that are using this daily a week in restaurant work.

Looks like I have to get serious about releasing the wood die. A few people tried to buy mine at MindVention.

DrSteve,
Thanks for your continued support and helping so many people in the UK with great ideas. Your new show looks great. The routines have been in since day one and I checked my email thought you got yours. Either way, I just sent you a copy. Enjoy.

Happy New Year,

Dr. Steve,

It looks like Craig has taken care fo this for you. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you(or anyone else)have any questions about any of the routines contained in the e-book. I wanted it to be a springboard to generate other ideas and I am happy that Craig felt it was a valuable contribution to MD deluxe and include it in his kit. There is much, much more to come..

Kind regards,
Max

Thanks Craig and Max, - yes its sorted now.

Playing with an idea at the moment using MD,+Nxxl Wrxxxr,+Stealth Assasin Wallet.
I write down my prediction of what four die numbers, the spectator will choose, and put it into the wallet for safe keeping. (correct numbers in correct order is later revealed). - I am sure you can all guess the method!

Maybe I am defeating the object of using a Nxxl Wrxxxr, but somehow this crazy idea wont go away.

Ahh...what about the other two numbers on the die?

Gaffed,

I think he means 4 specific number selections so it could be any of the 6 numbers chosen every time.

Whoops......sorry, that flew over my head at the time!
I know what a Nxxl Wrxxxr is albeit I've never used one as I'm not that much into mentalist effects and I don't own a Stealth Assassin.

I'm working out an act with Mystery Box with MD but I'm currently working on a new prototype of it which will be tad more versatile. One will be able to use any brand card they wish, a currency bill or a piece of paper...MD! It will have a clasp or lock on it. If it works out more details will follow and hopefully I will have them available in about two to three months or so. If and when I get the prototype done I'll be sending it/them out to few magicians for a road test. It should be a tad sturdier and somewhat more rich looking as for exotic woods, hinged, clasp/lock, etc.

Hard to explain right now how this would work out as a prediction for MD but I'll be working on a gimmick for that as well. One thing at a time! Wish me luck and if it all works out well I'll certainly keep everyone informed.

What a bummer, last year I could have picked the deluxe set up for approx 250 GBP. Now it will cost 343.680 GBP. Way too overpriced for us in the UK now, unfortunately.

Pegasus,

Save up. It is soo worth it I promise you. This trick is truly a reputation maker and is worth far more than what Craig is charging even currently.

Kind regards,

You got it Max, I predict the four correct numbers,in the correct order. and write them down on my card, place the card in my wallet for safe keeping, - the spectator then chooses four selections of the die, each time placing the die down on the table covered while they write down there choice of number, they then show the four numbers that they choose. - I then take my card from the wallet, and reveal that I correctly predicted ahead of time the same four selections that the spectator selected, remember I get the correct four numbers, in the correct order that they selected, - so when my written prediction is shown it exactly matches the spectators written numbers.
And according to Claudio who wrote on this thread at the start, the odds of doing that are 1296 to 1.

for those that don't know the wallet I mention can be written on aftertime, with said Nxxl Wrxxxr.

Hope that makes sense.

Think of what I said in my earlier post as an example as to Quantum Bender 2.0.
It goes for $500.00 and is not individually hand made as is MD.

I have Q.B.2 and it does indeed kill but does not nearly involve as much work as is put into MD as each and every individual piece is handcrafted by Craig. Even with the price increase it's still a steal and as Max said, a reputation maker. It has sooo many possibilities as to it's application. I've even come up with a new one which I have yet to try but I know it will boggle ones mind! After I road test it I'll surely share here with everyone else.

I agree that its worth the money, its just that I cannot afford to pay that price. I am just a hobbyist at the end of the day. Plus if my wife found out I'd paid that amount for a TRICK DICE (Her Perception) I would be on divorce state Red. I envy those that have this effect though, I must admit.

I read trhough this entire thread in the past, but my memory is failing.
Did anyone come up with a "Bank Night" routine with MD?
I was thinking about it in my car the other day while I was the the bank drive-thru. Something to think about.

Ace,

I don't recall one, but here is a quick idea. Get six envelopes marked 1 to 6. Select a [s] and give them the money. Have them join you next to a table with the envelopes, a close-up pad and a die cover 'coffee cup.' Tell them you want them to put the money in an envelope, but it needs to be totally random. To ensure this, have them roll the die on a close-up pad. They can roll it a few times before to show it is not loaded. Have them cover the die and put the money in the envelope of the number. Don't let the audience see what envelope the money goes into! Then have the [s] hand the envelopes out. You can then open them with body language or other methods. Other improvements please?
