What do you do in the rare instances the Spec selects the same number/color/symbol as already showing on the die? Don't you worry that the Receiver might have missed the signal? What if you've forgotten the last number that was showing?
Simply having the Spec shake the die to randomize it is one solution--making sure she understands that she could either roll the die for a random selection or consciously choose any side. Are there any other solutions to this potential problem? DK |

I have used MD and Prox, in paid performances , and have literally done it hundreds of times, and I have not yet had even a hint of a glitch, nothing even remotely close to what you guys are describing, and as I have said in the past, where I perform, my props get abused, spectators dropping etc. this thing is built to take it, heck I have dropped it a few times, still works perfect. And I have the same battery's for over a month, as I try to see how long it will really last, still working ........

Dark Knight, why not ask the spec, and actually show them, to consciously decide on a side but turning it around and decide on a side and thus focus on it. After all, we are trying to pick up conscious and focused thoughts. Folks who often do not bother to turn it around usually does not even look at the cube, it's just completely random even to themselves. We're not trying to predict the future (or else we would have hit the jackpot and on a private island somewhere enjoying our spoils), we're trying to pick up on a spec's thoughts which is quite specific.

DK I think your worring about some of these things to much. When I show the spec. what I want him to do for the first time I show him the 6 and give the instructions on placeing the die on his palm. In most cases the spec will not choose 6 because you have worked with that number in the "instruction" part of your patter. ( I choose 6 because I want them to choose a smaller number at the begining just to make it go a little quicker for the first part of my routine.) When I hand the die to them I sometimes move it around anywase forceing it to send a new signal off. In most cases I don't even think/worry about it.

My handling does two things. First, takes suspicion away from the cube, second, it makes it very natural to turn the cube around in their hands and come to a number. I take out the cube (die) and ask them if they know how many sides are on a die, they will of course say 6. I then proceed to tell them "if I was to ask you to name a number from between 1-6 what would you say? Now." Regardless of what they say I always follow up with the following: "That's interesting. What I didn't tell you is that this was really a conscious choice for you and I have actually psychologically bullied you into picking X because you did not have much time to react and consciously pick a number." I follow this up with "Ok, now we'll do this fairly, I'll hand you this die and I want you to turn it around and both look at the sides as well as consciously decide on a side. Whatever side is facing up towards the ceiling will be the side you decide on, but I want you to make a very conscious selection and please do not let others see what you have chose."
The first part of the patter/presentation gives reason for them to handle the cube. It also takes heat away from the cube because let's face it, it's a odd looking object to most people and at the minimum, if you just hand it to them, they tend to shake it near their ear to see if there's anything inside. This whole presentation also guarantees that they turn the cube around in their hands a few times (or at least once) thus promising a solid read for you. This presentation can also be easily adapted to any of the different varieties of the MD cube as long as it's a relatively easy list of things to remember (colours, simple shapes, etc.). |

I just wanted to mention I received MD today and what can I say WOW! I know there has been 20 pages of threads and now I can see why. I own another remote cube which I liked but this one is amazing. I have been in Magic for almost 30 years and have spent way to much money on effects that don't even come close to their description. Craig is very under-stated and his products are extremely well made and the customer service is off the charts! This is an effect while not cheap..you will always use and carry with you!

I am experimenting with remote controlled light bulbs, the remote changes the colour of the bulb WOW I hear you say. So spectator Visulises a colour and turns the cube face up to that colour in order they do not forget the colour they choose
I have four lights covered by shades, three spectators are given the choice of any light if they guess the light that matches the THOUGHT OF COLOUR they win the prize, obviously when I switch on each light I know the choosen color and make sure the matching light is not one choosen by spectator. Its visual Kids love it and its a challenge so holds audiences attention. and its a great mystery. Any suggestions on presenting this or other ways to utilise the remote lights google digiquick magic for details of lights they are sent post free anywhere in world - find them on the front page magicians gadgets - you can get these in USA and Europe but these are the best price, not trying to sell em, I just want ideas for the effect Ross Rahman Australia |

If I was thinking about ordering Multi Dimensional, some of these posts would scare me away, frankly.
Multi Dimensional is probably the most sure-fire, reliable, perfect as it is mentalism effect I have ever purchased. Robert |

Had mine for three weeks now and it is super. Almost immediately it has become my demonstration effect and gig getter as you might say. Believe everything you are hearing about it. It is super. The color cube rerally works best if you can perform a personality reading around the selection.

I think the cold reading cube has great potential as well. I haven't got around to employing it yet, but I will.

I'm just throwing in my "agreement" comment... MD is unbelievable!
Have had mine for over a year, and love it. I bought the deluxe set, but only use the color cube. Just preference, as each cube offers great routines. |
