I think he may be selling Tora's stuff. But other than that I know nothing about them.

Based on their (+98 261) telephone prefix, they're located in Iran...probably Tehran.
Don't know if they're associated with Tora Magic or not, but they're definitely neighbors. Dan/Earl |

The manager Shahrokh (I think that is spelt right!) as far as I recall worked alongside Tora and then broke away opening his new company. From what I have heard Shahrokh used to make a lot of things for Tora (particularly with lights - cf. "The Bright Thumbs" - look familiar?), hence the similarity.
The company is indeed based in Iran, and whilst there are apparently sanctions in the US about export/import of items from Iran, we must remember that Genii is an international magazine and goes to all parts of the world where there are no such sanctions. What has just occured to me however is that the company must pay for the advert in the magazine, therefore some financial transaction has taken place between an Iranian and a US citizen (Genii have "exported" an advert - or have they "imported" it? - in otherwords!). What are the sanctions on that? Richard maybe you can help me out here with the laws? |

What about Tora ads or this company's ads in the society of american magicians magazines?
Surely those ads are intended to sell their products to US citizens. Interesting if they are allowed to advertise in MUM in open violation of federal laws and trade restrictions. |
