Find the local new age mags for those areas. Look at the ads/events. I recently saw in Orlando a psychic has "table tipping sessions."

Carlyle does a private workship at his home in Virgina Beach on theatrical seances. I met him at the final Weerd Weekend. This guy was the resident medium at the Magic Castle for many years.
http://www.carlyletouch.com/ http://carlyletouch.com/PageFive.html Criss Angel did a coll celebrity seance a few years ago. Also YouTube has some interesting seance footage. Seances are actually one of the hardest things to pull off, in my opinion. I worked for a couple of years to write my first one. I've seen about a half dozen theatrical seances and one "genuine" seance. Most won't be filmed due to the fact that they are usually performed in complete, or near dark ... it'd take an infrared camera to film and most people don't have one. There is however, a lot of new material being published on seances. Just search the Magic Café for seance and weed through the posts. Good luck! Dave Birtwell |

Here's the thing about seance -- it is a blend of many approaches turned to an intimate - even personal emotional experience for the sitter. The medium is of no importance beyond connection with the sitters. In fact most mediums prefer to be "out of control" and in a trance (asleep) when and if observed.
If your intention in a theatrical seance is to amaze with your powers -- you should look more toward spook shows. If it is to have emotional effect on the audience I can think of no better book that the Complete Notebooks of C. A. George Newman -- OOP I think. Very expensive but this is real seance work from the original masters. I think the next best tome is Lee Earle's "Manifestations."
