When I saw Jeff McBride last year, he did one effect where he had a samurai sword. He showed it to be sharp and brought up to audience members to hold it. He then raised his forearm and slammed it down on the blade. It really looked like it went into his arm. He even had to struggle to remove it.
Does anyone have any info on this effect?

I saw him do this in his show too. From what I remember he explained it as a martial arts thing, not a magic trick, but I'm not positive.
I did manage to find this http://themagicwarehouse.com/cgi-bin/findit.pl?x_item=FB5705 but I am almost positive this is NOT what he used. Sorry that I couldn't help, but I really hope someone can shed some more light on this. |

The martial arts thing is probably just presentation and patter.
The item on The Magic Warehouse is just a knife through arm effect, and that model in particular, is not a very real looking one.
