What do you think of this:
You hold a standard drinking straw..show it clearly...put the wrapping away...hold it between two fingers of one hand ... and suddenly - at your command - it starts to bend! It will bend as much as you like. You time the bending. At the end, the completely bent straw can be handed out - for a souvenir. In short time, I will post a clip of the effect (incl. sound) See you soon, here. I would like to hear your feedback on this effect. Thanks in advance, P |

Unless it's metal, it may look more like a magic trick than a psychic feat IMO.
Look forward to seeing the clip. JR |

A friend of mine from Sweden, Axel Rutstam; invented the same effect two years ago. But as to whether the working is the same or not, I can't tell.
Nice thinking anyway, Thomas! I really like this effect, it's kinda cute. //Daniel

I like it, very visual. In a non formal situation, this could have a real impact.
Thanks for it. Keep the good work, like always. Kuffs. |

Nice magic trick.
Stop the superfluous hand motions, and it could be mentalism. |

Vey good, brainman! I have one small suggestion. You might want to see if you could do the same with McDonald's straws, or Burger King straws (slightly smaller); as they would look more impromptu. But anyway, a great invention indeed. I salute you!

Brainman
Is there a large setup involved? Can I perform this repeatedly, in a walk around setting? Thanks. |

brainman Special user 970 Posts |
There is no large set up. It resets in a very short time.
Personally I would perform it only once...for one lasting impression. Hope this helps. P |
