In the Complete Course. Seems pretty straight forward except for the l-----g at the finish.

L-----g is a wonderful technique. I used to hate it, and avoid it at all costs. But after studying David Roth, I've really come to see it as an amazing tool. Done correctly, it looks like real magic. Don't be afraid of it!

'Looking' IS a wonderful technique! Go ahead and just spell it out. Non magicians will not know what you are talking about.
Best,

Just read it. Looks like a good effect. I agree with CamisBoss, L------g seems like a very useful technique.

It seems that there aren't that many performance occasions where you are si****g anymore. But when you are, this is a great technique!

But let me mention that for his version he takes a 2' x 3' board with a felt cover and sits down at the edge of the stage with it on his lap. Though he doesn't l*p <g>, he is sitting. What is suggested for a non-sitting performance? |

Sorry, but all the acronyms and ----- things make me frequently feel like I'm dumber than dirt. It took me weeks to realize that 'AC' was not Ace of Clubs, but Ambitious Card! RRTCM? Drove me absolutely crazy until I figured out that it was Royal Road!
The picture that comes with my posts is like 30 years old...every time I try to put up something more recent it's too large, etc. Crumb. I'm too old for acronyms and little ---- things. On the other hand they DO keep one occupied in a kind of autistic sort of way. ;-} Best,

The Wilson coins across is excellent- The only issue with lapping is it requires you to sit down, which will limit your performing opportunities. But if the routine is well constructed so that there is good cover for the lapping as it is in this routine its a pretty easy technique.
I recommend you use a close-up pad for this--it looks much better on a pad. And work on making an attractive, orderly arrangement of the coins as the effect proceeds. That will both make the effect more professional, plus the deliberate actions will give you a lot of cover for sleights. -Rob |
