I am burning dvd's for my magic sets and Svengali decks.
I am using ULEAD DVD Movie Factory and it currently takes an hour and 20 minutes to burn one. I noticed that the software has to convert the video to a dvd compliant file type. This seems to be the longest part of the process. If I was to set it to burn multiple copies, would it be faster for the ones after the first? Or will it convert the files each time? Thanks in advance. Matt

I got it figured out. It only takes about 5 minutes to burn after the first is finished.

They will burn even faster if you can work with .GI files...global image files. That is basically the root level of a DVD at the binary level. If your software supports it, here is what you do. After you burn a master, you then take a global image of that DVD. From that point you then choose to copy the .GI file. The option in your program may be 'copy dvd'
Hope that helps too. Kevin

If you are getting ready to do this on a commercial basis, you may want to seriously consider getting a multi-disk burner that can make several copies at once.
