I am looking for a chop cup for a pirate routine and found the Desert Rose cup by Tex Austin. It looks great but I wondered if anyone knew if there was a larger version?
Here is the small one: http://www.mjmmagic.com/store/chop-cup-b......880.html |

Can't help you with the chop cup, but recently came across this Pirates game that contains 4 piraty looking cups in it. Might be good for other pirate related cup routines. I am sure it could be gimmicked for chopping easily.

Tex Austin is a member here, but not under that name. That's his "cup making" name.

Since each cup is hand made, can't you simply request a custom cup to your specs?

I believe you can, but you need to contact Rik Brooks.
Don't you think it's a bit silly to ask everyone else first?

I didn't think it was silly at all. I tried to find a contact for Tex Austin and couldn't so I came on here and discovered from you that he was called Rik Brooks- who I have now contacted. So I actually think I was rather smart! Thanks for your help.

I have one of those cups that Rik made for me with my initials carved into it. Come to think of it I was just thinking about Rik. I believe he is/was quite sick at one time. I hope he is ok.

Hey guys, I don't stop here very much. I'm so busy. Maybe once every month or two. I have a new project - I'm building my own house on my property up close to Jackson, Tennessee. Doing the whole thing by hand. I'm chopping down the trees and seasoning the wood. Then I'll build the house myself (with my wife of course) and do ALL the electrical, ALL the plumbing, etc.
The only thing anyone is doing for me is that the electric company will bring in the poles and electricity and someone else will install the septic tank. Other than that it's all me. Oh, and I'm teaching myself all that I need to know along the way, masonry, plumbing, etc. I really do need to stop back by more often though - ya'll are some of my favorite people. |
