Hey all! I was one of the people to receive this and I have to say that I am incredibly impressed. Bev has an amazing idea here that is simple, direct and you can carry with you no matter where you are. I found the idea clever on many levels and the thought that has been put into this shows. After receiving this I e-mailed Bev and was pleased to find out that he was a nice, helpful and funny man to talk to. And I love to support people with good ideas and good customer service/manners! Definitely recommended! Never be caught without a complete routine on you again.
Cheers Pete

Just to add my voice to Pete's.
I was also one of the first people to try this out and have to say that this is a fantastic piece of close up mentalism! Not only that, but it is completely adaptable to a psychic, psychological or muscle reading presentation. As Bev says in his blurb, you will have to know what an Oyster Card is and you will need to get hold of one. However, as Bev kindly pointed out when I emailed him, you can order these online, so it shouldn't be a problem for anyone(there might even be a similar item in the area where you live). This is something I will definitely use and can build a routine from, and at seven quid....it's a steal! Thanks, Bev |

I really like this too, everything 'fits'.
Basically an evreyday/innocent object (to Londoners) is used to illustrate a presentational storey. All aspect of the routine and effect are relevent, logical and relate seamlessly with each other. love it Nice one Bev, steve |

I just asked my girlfriend who's from Derby/Yorkshire and she doesn't know what an Oyster card is. Is this an exclusive London subway thing?

It's used by anyone who does frequent trips on the London Underground - it's a cheaper form of one day travel card - it's a smart card in a plastic wallet which you scan as you go through the barriers - it lets you top it up and use it without having to 'insert' it anywhere and also works on buses
80% of Londoners use them as they cut down queues and wait times dramatically - they are just a commonplace part of life in and out of the city - pretty much all commuters use them too - you can top them up online or set them to top up automatically when you get a bit low on credit Clever stuff, been common practice for quite a few years now - I don't live in London but always take mine when I go so I can beat the rush and not have to wait behind 3000 tourists in a queue for a ticket for a journey they could have probably walked in five minutes |

We have our own in Boston called the Charlie Card. Just a smart card that you can put whatever monies you want into and it works on busses and trains. No wallet though, just the card, and no map, just an icon. Mine is always in my wallet.
http://www.mbta.com/fares_and_passes/charlie/ My guess is that it would not work for this routine. |

I’ll second, third, forth, what others have already said.
This is clever thinking, but also something simple, that is very clever. It reminds me of another very clever’ something’ that I’m a great fan of. I can see this working in London, but probably other parts of the world too. A simple idea, that’s really rather clever, and beautifully explained too, in an e-book that has a really nice, practical look and feel to it. Would I ever have thought of it? No. Obtuse thinking applied in a very practical way. Great! I've heard that this is actually part of a trilogy, Obi - followed by the exclusive limited edition run that can only be performed in Wimbledon: Wombling Free.
... I was very lucky to have received a copy of this, but as yet have been unable to give it a go. Mostly since I am currently way up north in Hartlepool. Having read over the PDF though, I found the thinking behind it to be fantastic. The idea is so clean and straightforward - it is an example of one of those 'now why didn't I think of that?' moments. The secret is well explained, and Bev gives us enough subtleties to cover the presentation perfectly. I can't wait to give this a try - it's also prompted me to have another look at those things I take for granted, and see how I can be very sneaky with them! Well done! |

Just looked at this. Fantastic premise. Is this based on phys********l/m***le reading or is it completely sure fire? |

Due to the now near impossibility of finding the right Oyster card wallets to do this effect, I've now made Going Underground free!
If you have one of the 'old style' oyster cards well, you're in luck - this is pretty cool and now you've got something you can perform with it. If you've got some kind of peek wallet and want a fun routine to do with it, you're in luck! This only requires a sneaky peek http://thecoldreadingcompany.co.uk/coldr......freebies (If you're already on the mailing list don't worry, there'll be a link to the file in the next mail out, free!) |
