The Great Depression
Looks like we are heading for another one. The only thing that got us out of the last one was a world war. Its going to hit everyone sooner or later, but its going to hit the entertainment business quicker than most, since spending their money on entertainment will come low on the list of things to do in a depression. The good news is we only need to tough it out until the war starts and then we can entertain the troops. Anyway I bought some chickens and planted some vegetables and stocked up to get ready for it but apart from that I can’t think of what else to do. So have you got any tips?

Yes we will soon run out of tea leaves.
Mind you it will not too bad: Among the unemployed in the Depression were artists and performers of many types. Government programs to assist these people resulted in production of plays and artworks for all to enjoy.

Maybe it will blow over for now and we can have the roaring 20s again before the great depression.
It would be cool if we could get them to bring in prohibition on magic, we could all make a fortune

I don't remember which one it is but I'm sure you'll figure it out... and you need to take it to a road and let it walk for a little bit. Then you need to flip it over on its back. Then you need to watch it flip itself back over and walk a little further. Then it would prolly be good if you flipped it over again, and then watched it flip itself and then continue walking. That is what you need to do. And if you have any idea what this has to do with the Great Depression... woo hoo! You're literate. |

It's the fox gaurding the hen house and we put them there.

Oh yeah, and "The Grapes of Wrath". Addie Pray is a great book, incidentally. I read it recently after seeing Paper Moon for the first time. As is so commonly the case, the book was even better than the movie (much more plot to it).

I always think of The Grapes of Wrath when I think of books about the depression. Of Mice and Men to a lesser extent, but they are by the same guy.
Isn't it Grapes of Wrath that has all the turtle stuff? Or was it Of Mice and Men? If it was Of Mice and Men that Silverfoxx was referring to, I apologize and I'm illiterate.
