Never could get into Animal Collective, but agree with you on most of the rest of your list. NMH would definitely be in my top 10 all time as well. I don't think I fully appreciated Animal Collective until I listened to them while walking in the woods one day, the perfect setting to bring their music to life. I meant to add Vashti Bunyan rather than Devandra Banhart. I like Devandra, but he's not in the same category as these other artists for me. Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is definitely one of my 10 favorite albums too. At certain points in my life it has been located at the very top.

Mentalism Music:
My hip little brother chooses the music for my theater shows. The most recent one has become a favorite cd/playlist for many friends and even a foe or two. I name names: Amon Tobin Barry Adamson King Krimson Andrew Mogrelia's arrangement of "Dance of the Knights" (jump onto that last one! Works well for bizzarism as well) DT3 |

Billy Ocean is great music for laying out in the sun and getting the Colour of Love all over your body.
YouTube his vids for an hour or two of fun. If you just want one sample, then check out the weirdness of "Loverboy"...very strange and yet very catchy. King Crimson? "Beat" !!! |

I was surprised at how good some of the music you guys listen to is. I've been thinking about working some Silver Mt. Zion in to my act, personally.
I already play some Boris drone while I do a hypnosis thing I'm working on. It's sinister in a calm, slow way. Very close to the mood I'm trying to create. (The Record is called "Dronevil" by the way, and it is three separate tracks meant to be played simultaneously)
People who work for Theory 11: Do you want a young guy without a stupid gelled haircut or eurotrash jeans for your videos? PM me.
