What sleight of hand move you like the best? Mine is the Retention Pass.

Manipulation move? Its gotta be cardini singles for card manipulation. For CD Manipulation, I prefer tenkai-production with backpalm-vanish to accomplish a transposition effect. For balls, I love the drop-vanish.

Interlaced Production. Took years to perfect it.

As long as magic comes out from my hands - they are all my favorite. There are just too many moves I like, to consider which one is my favorite.

I have been a stage manipulator for more than 30 years. Just love stage manipulation and will continue to do so until my hands cannot manipulate anymore.

Probably back palm productions. I like to do a lot of non-magical manipulation moves as well (flourishes) but Im not sure if that's the question you were asking. If so, then I've got to say the card spring or a giant fan.

My favorite move is when I take the check (or cash) from the client after the show
Seriously, I really like split fan productions. The plot is simple: you show an empty hand and then suddenly a deck of cards appears, then you drop all the cards and repeat the effect. If done properly, it looks like magic, all it takes is skill and a deck of cards and it can been seen from a large theater. I saw this effect on TV when was a layman and I was completely baffled. For that reason, I always remember that it is a very strong effect (if not overdone). Levent http://www.LeventMagic.com

I like the split fan production a lot too Levent. But I use Manipulation Bills instead of cards.

I noticed that somehow it is the fans of cards or bills productions are the favorite among magicians.

I also have always admired the beauty of the perfect production. It is just a very elegant and clean manipulation move and really shows the fingers open. I also like the fact that is is versatile in that you can move more around your body with it.

The "move" that got me into card manipulation was the armspread and turnover. I first saw Carlo Tornedo do it back in the 60's. I looked in book after book for it and finally found it explained in Fischer's _Illustrated Magic_ of all places. It's quieter than springing the cards from hand to hand, and flashier than a basic fan. Tornedo also did the back and frontpalm, but my brother had assured me that the cards were in his sleeve and some elaborate device secretly pushed them out to his fingertips. I figured that such a device was very expensive. (My father had obtained somewhere a catalog of crooked gambling devices including holdouts, and I was sure that Tornedo had been using a holdout; didn't learn the real work until I read Hay's _Amateur Magician's Handbook.) Interestingly, years later when I did my manip act at a high school show, a chemistry teacher came up to me after the show and said, "The cards are hidden up your sleeve, right?" Of course, I didn't comment. But it was interesting that a person with a background in science wouldn't come up with the behind the hands explanation. But then, as psychic investigators will tell you, the more intelligent a person is, the easier it is to fool them. That must be why I am so easily fooled by my colleagues in magic ;-)

Probably the French Drop, I know it sounds simple, but not with a 2" or 2.5" ball! I love my french drop, it always always always works.
