Blizzard is expensive for what you receive, considering the fact that you can't perform the trick right out of the package. I don't own Black Envelope so I can't comment on that effect.

A little advice: If you see Dean Dill's or Bob Kohler's name on something, then you can be sure that it's worth the money.
More specifically, both Blizzard and The Black Envelope are top notch routines. Both routines are professional caliber, yet they aren't routines that will take you years to become proficient at. Good Luck. |

Blizzard is worth it. I have seen people complain time and time again saying it is overpriced. For those of you who say that, keep in mind what you are getting. An unbelievably powerful trick, the props, the deck, and one of Dean Dill's most prized routines that has fooled some of the very best pros. I would actually say it is pretty cheap. I love Blizzard!
As for the Black Envelope. I like the idea, but it has already been done before in some old magic books and the trick, IMHO, doesn't deserve to be priced this high or have a DVD dedicated to it. Plus you end dirty. I don't like that although it can be fixed if you bothered to mess with it. All I can say is, there are better methods. Andrew |

I haven't seen Blizzard, But Bob Kohler's Black Envelope is great. The extra envelopes are, however, expensive. But you can make your own envelopes.

I have the Black Envelope and yes, to me it's worth every penny I paid for it. I don't own Blizzard but I have heard nothing but good things about it.

I have both and they worth their prices.
I think Blizzard's worth derives from its wild and diabolical ideas and Black Envelope's worth derives from the fine completion of the total package. |

I have both of them. They are very worthwhile and you should not hesitate to purchase both. I have paid twice as much for junk tricks that sit in my drawer.
The first time I read the instructions to Blizzard I said "no way, it won't work", boy was I wrong. Shown it hundreds of times and it absolutely stuns. Check out Dean's Box too. This is a bargain. |

Blizzard is a great routine that is well worth the money, not only for the effect for the many ideas it will give you!

Black Envelope ROCKS! I really enjoy Bob Kohler. Everything I have seen from him is well worth it. The 5 routines on the DVD are unique and shows just how versatile the presentation can be. I personally feel that the no palm routine is worth the price of the DVD alone. I have utilized the signature principle in his no-palm routine and have inserted it to my card to wallet routine using a Mirage Wallet. I have had amazing reactions to this. Get the DVD!

I had played with the Blizzard gimmick for several years before Blizzard was even out....I must say this is the best application of it I've ever seen. All you need is a new deck of cards to go with it and you are set!
Call me crazy but I never really liked the black envelope(even though by biggest critic was fooloed TWICE and sdaid it was my best effect!)...it is ingenius but I just don't like performing it. Try it out for yourself and see how you like it. Jakks |

Both are very cool, even if the material for blizzard doesn't worth the money, you pay more for the secret than the material you get.

Oh, I would definitely say Blizzard is worth the money. Remember, even if the prop is easy to make you are buying the routine. Genius and it really, really makes audiences go wild.

I saw Blizzard demoed at a convention and it was great. Assured my grandson, who also saw it, could do it. Well,it ain't not easy (poor grammar to highlight feelings). If it is the genuine article that we bought, it involved a switch.
Black Envelope is a wonderful solution for several different effects; Say Stop, Card in Wallet etc. and a fun toy with which to foolaround. However, most of these can be pretty . I just loved seeing it and playing with it. Worth the money? Don't know. How does one evaluate that? It is wellbelow $50.00 The production values are fantastic and that requires something (esp the one camera, dingy lighting, kitchen talble set up of most of Sankey's, which when you think of it is sort of disrespectful). Kohler is all class--and enjoyable. Marty K |

Just bought Blizzard the other week and have not performed it yet. But if the reactions will be only half as good as I expect them to be, it will be worth it. Not so much the props, but the idea and thinking behind it justify the price. Highly recommended.
