Any tips on this? The flaps on my card boxes don't seem to last very long... maybe wrapping with tape?

Laminate it with clear packaging tape, or get the clear sticky book covers they sell in staples or office depot.

If you want the box to last a loooooooong time:
http://www.gotoforms.com/mmmls85425m_3m_......prd1.htm

Cover every side of the box - excluding the flap - with the sticky part of these. The sticky part is a stiff, clear plastic. Your box will out-last your cards.
Think inside the box. . . it's less crowded.

What are you using the box for? The are other items for storage/carrying which are stronger.

I would just like a card box that won't start to tear, etc...

One being for sankey's X Deck.
other for just regular cards

I agree with Dustin on this.

There are similar materials out there that are also cheaper. They come in a big sheet format. Just cut the required size, peel off and stick it onto the box.

As stated before, just go to an office supply store, you'll find something to laminate it with.

At first I read the first post too fast, I thought you mentioned "card board box."

They are giving you good ideas above, but it will still wear out. To help out you can use a metal playing card case holder. You might also want to purchase empty playing card boxes.

If you're using a gimmicked box, then you should have to go to certain lengths to use said items to make your box last longer. If you're a regular card worker like me, just keep best looking box when you use a deck and put it away for futher storage. I do use clear packing tape on the seems sometimes that helps with quick fixes.

I hate those little flaps. I usually tear them off when I first open the box.

If the big flap doesn't last very long, you may want to change how you store your deck. Don't put it in the same pocket as your keys or coins.
