What is the effect were the spec thinks of a card and then cuts the deck. The deck is flicked and their thought of card is seen on the flicker off packet?
I get to gaff some cool stuff for some cool people

Yes, the coin bend David did was using Quantum Bender 2.0. David loves this and uses it regularly. John Sheets has run out and made a new batch which will be ready in about 2 weeks. The new batch will have 2 important things- it will retail at $500 instead of $600 and it will include a full length instructional DVD only available with the new units.
The bill change David did was Extreme Burn. David uses this and carries it with him. He also used: - the flicking out card effect from the Pit Hartling book (great stuff in this book.. it is being reprinted now so if you missed this book pick it or the reprint up). - Compression by Dan White and Doug McKenzie - out in about 2 weeks with some GREAT bonus items... with a wonderful production job by Paper Crane. David uses this all of the time. - Lit by Dan White and Doug Hauss - out in about 2 weeks with some GREAT bonus items... with a wonderful production job by Paper Crane. This will include the match cards. This is the effect where the matchbook changed to the card. It KILLS in real use. - the moving ink effect is an item being released by Theory 11. A similar concept was also recently released by Alan Wong titled Magic Doodle Pen. - The cap in bottle was our friend the original PK Wizard Ring (David uses and likes the original which is the best). Check out Prohibition if you liked this. It kills. - The thought of card across was Strange Travelers - the thing where the 3H was printed on the ace is a force and this is printed on all of David's new Split Spade Lion decks which are beautiful (also note this can go with Branded which was selected for show but did not make it due to time along with Link by Nabil and Cesaral Red Hot UV which comes out today) - The stretching Coin is similar but not the same as Silver Impression by Alex Lourido. - if you like the repeat card force TRY Mark Mason's Attitude Force from his Real World DVD set- it is GREAT and sure fire. Hope that helps. I loved the show for the magic and thought it was the best once since Street Magic. Tim Trono |

Something I liked that nobody seems to have mentioned yet is the effect where the selected card appears within the specs favorites suits after David makes all the other suits disapear. The shrinking of the deck's width illusion looked awesome.

I liked it too, but I'm waiting for a review on that one. I have a feeling there was a step missing that would make it not as smooth as shown, kind of like phonominmon or whatever that phone effect was from the last special.

I love cell phone effects. Does anyone know where I can get the one that has the spectators phones aimed at the quarter and it starts to flip around in the middle. I have a few ideas on what it could be but I would like the correct purchase to be made. I as thinking it might be John K product or a big M5.
Thanks Mike

I think more than one effect in the special last night was like that Josh. To me it seemed like stooge work or blaine can do one hell of a good bill switch lol

I wish people would hand me bills with their faces printed on them in real life. Magic would be so much easier that way

Yeah but I think everything David did you could do in the real world. If some things were ommited I think it's fine if it's to protect the secret from the viewing public at home. As long as the essence of the effect is presented and the reactions from the spectators are genuine it;s all good in my book. Censoring some things is fine if gives an accurate representation of what the live audience is witnessing. Just my opinion of course.
