We just finished filming last week, 9-25-08, a brand new 5 part Gospel Magic! series (each program is 1/2 hour in length) made for cable access tv. If you have a DVD segment you'd like to submit, please send it to Roger Bus (my address is on the http://www.ChristianMagician.org web site). So far, 5 Comcast and Charter cable systems in Southwest Michigan have picked up the programs for airing. This new commercial free, non-profit series will be posted soon to our website. Performers include Duane Laflin, Brad Brown, David Ginn, MagicBob and SuZie, PJ Weber, Leo Peters, Alan Kazam and Roger The Magic Bus.

Sorry, had a post-filming delay problem, our Kalamazoo based "live" footage I am supposed to pick up today, 10-17-08, from our WMU student director, Matt Bizer. From here, it goes to our series editor Randy Craven (www.illusionsbyRandy.com), he hopefully will get the edited programs back to me for distribution within a month or so or earlier. Randy is a long time member of FCM, and used to teach tv production at Ferris State University (and also worked at Mtv). We have enough new footage for 6 brand new one-half Gospel magic programs (so we should have at least 4 new programs coming out), so I am pretty pumped about it. 5 local cable systems in SW Michigan will be showing it and it will be posted to the internet at http://www.ChristianMagician.org. The new series has now been renamed: "Now That's Magic!". Thanks for your patience! The performers on it are Duane Laflin, Brad Brown, David Ginn (these first three allowed us to use DVD segments from them), PJ Weber, MagicBob and SuZie, Alan Kazam, Randy Craven, and Roger The Magic Bus (me).

Our first new program of Now That's Magic! is finally posted at http://www.ChristianMagician.org. Hope you check it out- and if you'd like- please send us your DVD footage to Roger Bus to use it in future programs!

Finally, I took the time tonight and watched all of the episodes. What a Wonderful job that you are doing. Keep up the good work. Can anyone submit their video? Does it have to have a Biblical Theme or can it be just FUN? Please let me know. I will be shooting some new videos in December and I would like to submit a clip or two. How long should it be time wise? It seems that your segments are around 3-7 minutes long does that seem right? Looking forward to hearing from you. I am also a member of the FCM International as well.

Thank you so very much for your wonderful comments! Much appreciated. Shows 2-4 of Now That's Magic! should be posted shortly. We will take ALL DVD footage submitted, whether "secular" or Gospel magic. David Ginn, for example, graciously allowed us to use any of his segments from his "50 Magic Movies" DVD, all of which are extremely short and most of them just fun "secular" tricks. Duane Laflin gave us permission to use anything from his excellent "See The Truth" DVD. Brad Brown's DVD he sent us to use is also first class. Terry Owens sent us 7 one minute spots. So we will take anything- from 1 minute to 10 minutes segments! All we ask is your permission to use the DVD footage without restriction- it will be included in our future Now That's Magic! programs and put on our web site (www.ChristianMagician.org). We will never sell the program or make them commercial in any way- they are designed for airing on the web and on free cable access systems. We can also send you a free copy for airing on your cable access system as well! We are probably filming more local Michigan magician segments in Kalamazoo on January 10, 2009, so we'd like to have your submitted DVD segments before then if possible as the editing for additional programs will begin almost immediately thereafter. Send to Roger Bus, 903 East Cork Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49001. Psalm 67!

Someone should contact Steve Harmer from Calgary, AB and get him to send some footage. Any of you familiar with him? He was on the cover of Linking Rings a few months ago.

As of 11-24-08, Program #2 of Now That's Magic is posted at http://www.ChristianMagician.org. This program has Duane Laflin's Gospel sponge ball routine and his wonderful "transformed" using the "Massal" tube, Brad Brown's Gospel gypsy thread and rope escape, Leo Peter's "Fuzzy Wuzzy" Bear, Alan Kazam's invisable ball to bag, and our film editor Randy Craven's excellent "whole armor of God" routine using the needle through balloon. More programs to follow!

Magicbus -

This is an exciting way to get the message out...and let folks get a little "air time" in the process.

Keep up the great work.

Thanks again Kif! Program #3 should be posted soon. Now That's Magic! program #2, for example, on the Comcast system where I live in SW Michigan near Kalamazoo, airs this week on Channel 12 at 4PM, 9PM and 4AM DAILY. Wow! If you have any kind of DVD footage- I'd sure like to receive it! I received some footage from Toby Travis last Saturday that we have been given permission to use as well. So we hope to continue putting out more programs- and the performances just seem to get better and better! Fired Up! Roger

Absolutely! We shot another 1.5 hours of Gospel magic and "regular" magic footage in July, 2009. Our series Editor, FCMer Randy Craven, currently has the footage and will be editing them into probably a brand new one hour "Special Edition" Now That's Magic! and an additional 1/2 hour program. I have no idea what Randy will use or not use, he has total "editorial" oversight over each program. Obviously, the better footage he gets, the more he likes it! If you have any video footage of yourself performing, send it on regular DVD format to Roger Bus, 903 East Cork Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49001. I then simply catalog and time whatever I receive, then immediately forward it on to Randy. He then decides where/when to put it in upcoming programs he puts together.

The program itself is very popular in SW Michigan with each program airing more than 30 times including in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Portage and Paw Paw. Also, after Randy completes the next 3 or 4 programs, the Christian Conjurer Magazine has agreed to run an INDEX of all the programs made to date with the performer's names, effects done and Scripture references. The web site too has already gotten over 4,000 hits.

Thanks again for all the kind comments. We are amazed by http://www.ChristianMagician.org as it is basically a bunch of FCMers filming stuff sometimes with one or even no camera operators (using a fixed camera), or doing never before performed material, and often usually in one fast "take." So it is really neat to see what Randy does with our amateur made footage to produce these pretty neato programs. I gave a copy of #8 to Duane Laflin in Colon last Friday so he can see it as well (Duane agreed to allow us to use footage from one of his DVDs for the series)- he has been terrific and much of the items we do are his purchased materials. Have a great day all! Roger
