Well, they hit the fair in my town and I caught the act today. Mini Cube Zag, Origami, Restored Soda, and a beautiful version of the rope tie in which allows the performer (johnson) to steal a spectators jacket and reaveal it put on under the ropes. I love that piece!

Then the torture cell escape. Another nice piece for the show..people were captivated. I spent most of the routine watching the audience. Eyes forward!!

Great act if you get a chance to catch them. Both are talented and entertaining, each unique. They compliment each other well!

I have known them both now for about 4 years and not only is their performance very good they are just two great people. If you ever get a chance to see them do it and you will not be dissapointed.

Well, I caught the show at the fair in my town last year. It was a dud.
Sound system quit half way through the show, several tricks failed, the restored soda can would not restore, people began to walk away etc...
He didn't have anything prepaired to cover mishaps, I felt like walking up to him and suggest he read Maximum Entertainment by Ken Weber.
Nice couple, but a total failure of a show.

Also he really shouldn't compare their water tank escape to Houdini's water torture cell.

61 magic,

If you choose to critisize maybe you shouldnt hide behind your computer screen, and let everyone know your real name.

Everyone has good shows, great shows, and bad shows. even the pros. They cant be TOO bad if they making a living traveling 300 days of the year.

Will knowning my name make you feel better?
There is a lesson here, that all magicians can have a bad performance as well as a good one. We should learn from mistakes and become better magicians.
Videoking posted about an enjoyable performance and I posted about a very subpar performance, since this is the only impression I have of a Ridgeway performance that is the lasting impression I have.
Simple as that...

Settle down guys. Everyone is entitled to share there opinion on the show they have seen. Look at DC one of the top magicians and he has his good and bad. It is just the nature of live entertainment. My experiences have been positive.

Best,

They were at the Iowa State Fair in August. The show was great, they packed the performance area and the crowd seemed to love the show. They gave them a standing ovation at the end. Kevin was friendly and open to meeting people after the show. We even changed our plans and went back for the second show that day. They performed the routines that videokideo mentioned in his post. Kevin also did a great escape jacket routine. Had some real funny stuff in it that was different than what I've usually seen. Go see them if you have the chance!

I have seen these two perform several times both in the U.S. and Canada. They have always put on a great show. Kristens version of the Gypsy rope tie is stunning!

I just caught their "Breathless" show in Wichita, Kansas several days ago. I thought it was a great show. Very entertaining, and they met with us afterwards to chat for a while. They both seem like great people who enjoy what they do immensely.

It was great to see their show and even more of a pleasure to meet them. Even though several of the routines seemed somewhat "stock", the Turbine illusion and the Water Cell were very entertaining. I thought Kevin's straightjacket escape was hilarious. Instead of posing as "masters" of "amazing illusions" they quickly won the audience to themselves on a rather personal level and then proceeded to entertain us. Some of it was a little flashy, but most of the show had a down-to-earth way about it that possessed a charm all it's own.
