WOW, I have never seen two completely wrong statements. Nastiness like that will turn off other potentional customers. I would never ever buy from someone that insults another person.
As a magician, you will be turning people off not to the products but to YOU. Don, you are the one that went on about what you say to people, and are still defending the fact that you use lines like that. There ARE people that come back. And they are usually the ones that buy a lot. I know chefmagic, and have pitched with him. I have seen him move a LOT of merchandise. As magicians, we care about how we come across the same amount as making the sale. Don seems to like arguing. If you're tired, take a rest.

I get people that come back all the time. Sometimes they will walk around first then come back to purchase items. Sunday I had 2 people come back twice and spend about $40 each.

So a pitchman is in line waiting to get into heaven.He is shaking his legs.St Peter ask his "whats the matter?" The pitchman says I have to go.St Peter says "well go behind that cloud,its ok" Later the pitchman is back in line but still shaking his legs.St peter says " didn't you go behind that cloud like I told you" No answers the pitchman...I looked down and there were hundreds of people below the cloud. "Oh says St Peter...they are just BE BACKS *piss* on'em"

Matthew needs to grow up but I'm sure that to much to ask of him.
As a matter of fact I disike magicians and this thread explans why. |

Hey, you brought me back into the conversation.
I did ask a question though. I want to 'learn from the "master"' and find out if I did the right thing or not. But, I should probably drop $30 on your dvd to find out, right?

$30...thats old history,I'm getting $36 now,but that with priority shipping.one sold over here,one back there sold...who else wants one...take out $36 and send it up...I would buy one myself if I didn't have so da** many...
If you want your question answered I'm be more than glade to do so. I would put the deck in the fathers hand and let him try the deck than I would have the kid try them.Than say "I'll give you a full refund if this deck dosen't work like I say they do. ( but this is only if it were slow.If I had a big tip waiting to go back into another pitch I would just tell him about the money back guarantee and move on and do another pitch) |

With all due respect to all concerned, I think everyone needs to "cool it." We are wasting valuable space and bandwidth conducting a ****ing contest, which is a waste of everybody's time.
Don is certainly entitled to his opinion, as is everyone else. You can use his lines or not, as you see fit. You can also explain why you think they are or are not a good idea, and offer variations of your own. But all of this sniping is completely nonproductive. It needs to stop NOW. SETH

I accept your apology. No one was trying to start an arguement. I simply voiced my opinion and was told I did not earn the right. that's what got me going. I have Dons tape and for the most part agree with what he says. I just don't agree with insultin future customers, or embarrasing them.
