Any card is named out loud; the magician asks that the spectator imagines their thought of card vanishing from the deck of cards. The magician reaches into his pocket and withdraws a deck; "Would you be impressed if your named card was the only one missing from this pack?" The magician shakes the deck and hears a tiny rattle, "Actually, I think I messed up, but in a good way. It appears I actually vanished the entire deck except one card." The magician opens the case, pours out a single card; the named selection. The box is completely empty and examinable.

Sounds pretty interesting. A good take on the regular invisible deck.

Pavel has something out like this already where he goes through the whole "shuffle the deck, no pull it out of the box first, etc" routine, but then starts calling out the cards from the top of the deck until the spectator says stop. Pavel then pulls out a card box and opens it and it is the card the spectator said stop on. No card indexes or switches. I'll look for whatever book it is in.

Thanks MagicMattMan; I appreciate it. The version I am creating could be more complicated, in construction; but straight forward in performance. It is actually a utility prop I am working to get produced which is primarily used for the "any named card in envelope in wallet" effect; Bang on style. The above effect I found also possible with the same concept but is nowhere near tried or tested yet.
