But when the occasional baker does remember it and bakes one, we as a restaurant customer get to enjoy the pie and the ambiance in which it is served. My point in all of this rambling is: A) As Chezaday said, forget about it because the lay public will sooner than we will. B) Complaining about it only will draw more attention to the show. C) As has been stated, it's not the prop that makes your show entertaining, it's you. and D) ...I could really go for a piece of pie right now... Lyndel |

If Mr. Copperfield would like to sue over the death saw, he has a case.
I was the one who gave the idea for the method to Paul Osborne. It was Mr. Osborne who drew up the orginal plans for the death saw and sent them to David. I was given a copy and I gave those plans to a magic friend in Springfield, MA. At the time I suggested a playright rather than a patent, which is how Houdini protected the Water Torture Cell. I do not know if that was done or not. However, I suspect this time we have them, if Mr. Copperfield decides to go after them |

I agree that it's performer not the prop that makes a great magic show, but you have the show and then you have the business..... The business is to get people in the seats of the theater. These specials give magic a bad image and make people not even want to go to a show...
It reminds me of the days of when the public thought of all magicians as the tux and doves kinda guy, even though if they went to the show he could rock out with some great illusions they only had the mind set of the old school performers.. PS; when Martha makes a cake on TV she doesn't make it look stupid to be a baker... Just my take on it.. Also even if Copperfield were to sue it will not stop these specials;;;;;;;;;

I don't know why people here are upset with the masked magician...everybody has a price. Be honest, I'm sure anybody here would sell out for the right amount.

I agree you can't put a price tag on years of dedication and work. Magic is what makes all of us who we are we love it and protect it. If you can sell out for a few dollars then you where never a true magician in the first place.

...quote Billy McComb, "art for art's sake, money for Christ's sake." I don't know if your not being honest or your just jelous?
If your truly in for it art's sake, and have no issues of being taken in and be shown off like a cirus animal at the end of your life like vernon then that is your decision. My goodness, heaven forbid if there is an opposing view point here! -A |

Vernon was one of the best of us all. he is one of the people who helped bring magic up the the quality it is at today. he was the last link to magic's golden age. the man deserves respect. comparing him to a circus animal is a very low blow
for some of us magic is a passion. if I never performed another trick, I'd still read and study it. that's why we get so uset about this masked magician jerk. the man has no love for the artform. remember Val used to be a magician. he's not some muggle that bought a bunch of trick to expose them. he sold us all out, and he sould have known better. you say we all have a price. well I wouldnt trade places with the Val for anything. heck I wouldnt trade places with Criss Angel because I hate his methods so much (had to get a little CA bash in) I know we cant do anything to stop him, and I know the ones who could are too busy to bother with it. but it still makes me mad |

Hey Al…the quote should read “Art for Art’s sake, Money for God’s sake”. It actually belongs to Godley and Creme of 10CC. The song was Art For Art’s Sake which came from the 1976 album How Dare You.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Billy McComb was a 10CC fan. They both had a similar sense of humor. Most people think 10CC was just a “Pop” band writing love songs when in truth they were a very satirical group that often targeted pop culture. —Dal “Rock n’ Roll” Sanders

This Week on Magic revealed drew in a 1.4 Rating. This has gone over well with My Network due to the low rating MNTV ( 1.5 and under )
So looks according to the ratings its just going to stay, we will see what the rating is after the premiere tonight |

Very Sad ....all things like deceptive st..and b...e will be exposed and in a few years we must to find something very very new but seem to be imposible ...I am very sure that this principle will be very very over use and very well stick in spectator mind ...so goodbye deceptive s and b ...
You know I am so sad that I will say that we deserve this because we are so stupid with a nonexistent protect law sistem of secrets ....very very well I am mad and because we was so stupids to do nothing in 98 when this episode born now we must receive the second hit but this is very very dangerous like first and you will see that in next days when all internet will have a lot of copyes and many tv stations from entire world will buy the episode. Again I will said that we deserve it. Copperfield has a lot of money and is old now ...he could retaird on a lost heaven island ...Criss Angell already made a lot of money Blaine the same and masked magician do the rest and we the stupids and jackass are the last ...... we will try to fool ourself with a lot of ideeas here on forum . Stupid stupid stupid |

It's not that we need new systems, it's just that we need to be more mindful of how we implement our current deceptive props, ensuring that they are as deceptive as possible. Just relax, people forgot about the specials a decade ago and they'll forget about these too (That is if the general public even hears about them on a channel most people don't even know of). Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.
