The Staples in my area today had:
Number 3 Coin envelopes made from craft paper. About $12 for 250. These have been hard to find for a while around here! "Frixion" pens. About $4 a two pack. And best of all, the neatest little notepads for 99 cents! The notepads are just a tad smaller than 3x5 inches, made from soft 'pulp' paper, and are perforated to tear out of the booklet easily. The cover of the notepad closes like a paper matchbook by tucking into a flap on the bottom. The covers come in a variety of printed designs, plus plain black, and have a cardboard stiffener in the back for ease of writing. The flap could easily be used as a "crib." The sheets are very easy to tear for CT work. I make two business card-sized bil**ts from each sheet of paper. This is the type of paper Annemann mentioned in PME, and I can see why he used the type of fold that he did. I had no problems with a simple single fold in each direction, however. These pads were on display with several others items from the same company (journals, business card cases, etc,) that had a matching design. Everything was very reasonably priced. |

The Office Max stores near me never have any!
They also never have the ink I need for my printer, helpful customer service, or anybody within 50 feet of a cash register... |

I can relate, Dave
None of the stores I have been in even know what a coin envelope is, and it's their own product! Consequently, the employees are of no help in finding where they are located. In Office Max at least, ask where the coin rolls are, and there you shall find.

Yes, the best office supply store I've ever been in is in Abbeville, Louisiana. Piazza's Office Supply has everything!
You need old-fashioned carbon paper? They've got it. You need NCR paper? Got it. Envelopes of every description? Got it. Index cards by the ton? No problem. Specialty pens and pencils? No sweat. The exact size lead for you sw*mi? Right over here, sir. The staff is even helpful. Unfortunately, I live almost 700 miles away! |

Staples is so expensive! They tried charging me 10 bucks for 200 #2 coin envelopes, and they did I like the frixion pens though. I use them alot, especially with another marketed effect whos name shal remain nameless. They are great to use with the Copperfield signiature trick.

Hey, Tod's right about the coin envelopes at Office Max. 500 count for $12.99. BUT, you have to get them from the same aisle as the coin rollers! If you get them from the envelope aisle they're $26.99 for a 250 count box. Different package, same product. Go figure.
Thanks Tod! |

The guy behind the counter looked at me like I was nuts when I asked him where the "billet section" was.

For those in the Los Angeles area, Swains in Glendale is top notch.
