And we are in a recession and so price matters even more than usual (especially for US buyers as our dollar is so weak). Pass the Parcel, like many of the best kid magic tricks and rock bands, seems to have been a British invention . . .And by the way there's nothing wrong with buying based on price. If sellers know that buyers do this, they'll take into account and we'll all get lower prices assuming competition.
Razzmatazz will win that competition on a lot of items, especially the spectacular ones they make themselves and market exclusively. And anyone who has not viewed these should take a look at them . . . These folks compete even in tough times for many purchases. |

Hi Mumblemore. Nice to hear from you again. Hope you enjoy the Santa set very soon.
We felt we had to comment because in the short term it seemed our price was higher. Hopefully from our previous mail we have explained why ? Yes indeed the global meltdown has affected everyone and fair point - people will want best price for products they buy. But to some searching the absolute cheapest price is not the main criteria. We chose the worse time to sell our home to invest up Razamatazz Magic, but that's the way it goes. We will either lose everything or become successful. Either way we will give it our best shot and hopefully give you some more great magic. We have some truely amazing props coming very soon. Thanks for your support Andy & Sue Razamatazz magic |

I read something else into Spellbinder's post. I thought he was saying the item was a very low price at other places, because they didn't actually have it in stock. They were pricing it low at those other places to make it look like they offer great prices. Much like an auto dealership who advertises a car at a great price, but when you go there, they are sold out (and then they try to sell you other models that cost more). I didn't take it as a comment on Razamatazz's price at all. It's about all of the others who advertise but can't provide on their offer.

If you did have shares in our company they would not be worth anything - so good job you don't. We guess it's going to take a couple of years to break even - let alone make a profit, but that's how business is at the moment. Anyway Magic Bern thanks for your support, if we do offer Razamatazz Magic shares we will let you know - He he !! |

Andy and Sue,
Thanks for your reply. You have great ideas and excellent designs and we all benefit by having your props out there and available. I will post an extensive review after I am able to use the Santa set, and hope to get the Santa "clones" soon as well (sounds funny and original). I am sure others will also be rewarding your efforts and that you will be around for a long time (assuming that magicians weather the recession decently . . .). Forgive me if my post was too glib. I didn't know the stakes you had in this, but it's great you were able to follow your dream and I imagine it will take you far. People need to check out your site at http://www.razamatazzmagic.com/Passtheparcelgame.php - They will be impressed. |

So, after many conversations and debates decided to go for it. We have had a few sleepless nights as you can imagine but hopefully things will get better. If only you knew what our next project was (can't say) you would be quite impressed. Anyway thanks again for your support Kindest regards from Andy & Sue |

Donald was correct. I need to remember that Kid Show magicians have a different sense of humor than the bizarre magicians I usually kid around with. Also, the reading and interpreting skills of kid show performers are not as good. I don't know why that should be. Let me rephrase my post for kid show magicians:
"Pass the Parcel"- good game! When you can't buy more electronic versions, make it yourself from a paper bag or cardboard box. Still a good game! Everybody good! Have a lollipop!

No, I never perform for kids. Performing for kids rots the brain and leads to being unable to spell simple words like "mean." And I never make comments with my tongue in my cheek, which makes me unintelligible as well as incomprehensible. I'll go back to the Bizarre section now where they understand my sense of humor.

Hi Andy and Sue
I was looking at your Rabbit Rampage. How much is postage to Bolton, UK? I couldn't see that. I agree you have some fantastic looking props, the design work is superb, something to really be proud of. Can't wait to see the Magic Sweet Factory when its finished. Is it a Willy Wonka theme you're going for with that? Mark

Wow spellbinder they seem to digging you a hole for whatever reason. I saw your post as being kinda funny and commenting on the situation that they were out of stok etc. Perhaps I need to go to the bizzarist section as well. LOL I have to say though this looks like a fun bit of business for the little crowd and I am in the process of revamping my little guys and gals show. So maybe the investment will pay off. Oh and Andy and Sue. on a side note my boss is gambling on a 20000 square foot new TITANIC Exhibit in Orlando even as we speak we are building it for a thanksgiving soft openning all of us are gambling on its future and short term success. Keep on plugging away if you have no dreams well whats the point of even being around. We are going to make it and so will you in fact come visit us if you get over here and ask for me I'll give you the ROYAl tour. My best wishes for your success go out to you its tough but it WILL pay off.

The magic sweet factory will only ever be made in very small numbers and first batch will be about 10 units, perhaps another 10 sometime after that. Then that will be it. They are quite expensive and hard to get made for us so this will only ever be a very small limited run. The look is a little willy wonka for sure, and very eye catching. We are very proud of it ! Postage for Rabbit Rampage or Santas Surprise to Bolton via Royal mail special next day delivery is £9.25 (this comes up when you click to buy) Hope this helps Andy & Sue |

It takes a great deal of courage to do the things we do (that or stupidity) and as you say what is the point of life without them. We feel that if we had not had the credit crunch then we would of been in a much better position, but as it is we are getting hit hard. Several entertainer friends have been short on some bookings but Christmas seems to be going mad. Fingers X - we all can weather the storm. Hope all goes well for you Kindest regards Andy & Sue |

Yes Mark we are !!!
We were an pro Illusion act - we also did close up, cabaret etc but switched to Children's when the Masked Magician started revealing magic secrets. We really miss the stage shows but the children's shows have been great. We don't have to travel as far for the work, Usually home earlier as many shows are more local. Not so hard setting up shows as there are no pyrotechnics,Staging, lights, big illusions etc to get set up before we perform, although our children's shows are still quite large by most children's entertainers standards and we have the odd illusion at the end for 2 hour parties. All the corporate and stage shows are big but not a patch on the illusion show set up. Do you perform children's shows Mark ? |

Yes, full time. I also DJ for adult parties. I've also been writing, directing and designing magic and effects for pantos since 2001. Its great fun. I wanted to make it big with the illusions (doesn't everyone?!), but the kids shows are busy enough for me and, like you say, less work. I do still have a handful of illusions, but these days I tend to build for a specific panto or cabaret show then sell on afterwards. Think I'm just gonna go and have another mooch over to your store...
