Why do you need two gaffed decks to do something that can be done with a mem. deck?

The ad says that it comes with two Bicycle gaffed cards. So, I'm wondering if the cards are just a crib? Certainly would work to enable you to find a card at any location in the deck. But what excuse do you have to look at the cards after a position or card is specified?

The answer to stax' question may be that some people would rather spend twenty bucks than to memorize a deck.
