Hi everyone, I've just seen a few videos of Gary Kurtz on youtube and am very impressed by his good humour, personability and openness.

I imagine you're all very familiar with Gary Kurtz, but I must confess I am not. Could someone point me in the direction where I can read and see more of him.

Thanks for any help,
Best, Tom.

Indeed, Gary Kurtz is great and has a unique style to performing (he is actually French). Google the following "Just an illusion" Gary Kurtz. It is a dvd of his one man show that is available (only in French). Ii is brilliant and unique in so many ways.

Hope this helps..you can always PM me for more info...

His 'Completely Mental' booklets 1, 2 and 3 (writing as Jas Jaskutsch) are great, but serious stuff. In my opinion, it would take a good deal of commitment to pull off properly, but it is great work

Whatever level you are at, however, I'd really recommend Gary Kurtz' 'Leading with your Head' which is about misdirection.

His work isn't very easy to get hold of, you may need to work hard on your search engines to track it down.

I'd second the recommendation for 'Leading with your Head. I bought my copy from http://www.leirpoll.com. This site is run by Norwegian magician Jarle Leirpoll who came up with the card in mouse trap routine. Lots of essays on misdirection to read there as well.
Cheers,
Mark

Despite what that ignoramus muse says above, the actual name the booklets are written under is "Jas Jakutsch". Apologies if you've been roaming search engines for the wrong name.

For anyone who may be considering the suppliers noted in the posts above, I've bought from both Jarle Leirpoll's site and from Doc Eason's, both were great to deal with, good communication, and prompt delivery, even though I'm not in either of their countries.
