I have been playing with a few metemorphosis ideas lately after reading Kyle Peron's notes on it.
-The screen. A tube of fabric around a hoop is introduced and the assistant stands inside it and leaves there hand out holding onto a top hat. the magician simply walks behind it and the change happens and now you are visually holding the hat. -Falling. This is a really neat approach for the switch. It is as if you are doing the technical work behind the effect right in front of the audience which looks cool. You start off regularly with them going inside the bag in the box and it is locked. Now you go on top and cover yourself with the cloth and appear to shrink and then grow again, Accomplishing the change. -The Jail. THIS is my favorite version of the metemorphosis. A box with bars and can be seen through. the assistant is locked inside and the bag is tied to the top of the box and hangs. Now you can do falling or the classic change. Then of course the assistant can untie the bag and you will be inside. The good thing is that it is completely open. Just a few ideas that you might want to work on yourself. |

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed my thoughts on these. I credit Kyle Peron though for opening up my mind to the illusion.

Most welcome. Always a pleasure. I always try and show people that you really can be as creative as you want to be. You just have to learn how to really "see" and start to exercise that creativity muscle.
