If you had to give up your ENTIRE DVD COLLECTION but could only KEEP ONE DVD what would it be (and why)??
Let's go... (mine would be Osterlind's Mind Mysteries Vol 1) Why.. to watch a true master at work, and for The Watch Routine, Centre Tear and Radar Deck all in one place.. come on, it don't get much better |

For me, it would have to be Cellini's "Magic that can be Performed Anywhere" Highly visual magic. Not too hare on the sleights and very practical. Great for street performers (very durable and homemade inexpensive props) and, as the title suggests, for performance anywhere.
Magic is a vanishing Art.
This must not be Kansas anymore, Toto. Eschew obfuscation. |

Oh my Xenu... I can safely say that the people on this forum, especially those who run it, have no sense of humor what so ever... There was absolutely nothing wrong with what I posted. It was funny. I know you laughed when you read it.

Bill Abbott Performs Magic for Kids.
I had, at one point, close to 1,000 magic dvds (Actually vhses!). If I had to drop all of them, except one, it would be Bill Abbott Performs Magic for kids (or if you want the old school edition, Close-Up for kids). Here's why- First, there is a real collection of SOLID close-up material here, and despite the name the material plays very well for both adults AND kids. Pretty versatile. Second, there is a LOT of great info about what you need to work professionally (pocket management, material choice, approaching groups, etc). I've seen Bill work (and you can see him performing LIVE for REAL audiences at shows he's been hired for on the dvd) and he KILLS- every time! Finally, it teaches you how to take ANY material, make it better, and make it work in a show. All I know is I HAVE gotten rid of most of my videos (down to about 100) and I have Both of Bill's first dvds (Close-Up and Stand-Up for kids) and the combined set (Performs Magic for Kids) STILL. All the best, Ben p.s. Bill, just send my check to...
If you're reading this you're my favourite magician.
